I tried it last year, and had a terrible experience with a mouthy controller. I was new, posted it in the notes that it was my first flight, and he was still short and rude. I asked a question about getting clearance, and he wouldnt verbally give it to me. I wasnt aware how to access it otherwise. It was printed somewhere I guess, but I didnt understand where. Was a terrible experience. And I even have real world piloting experience out of an international airport. So Im not a complete novice
@@jay-rus4437 don’t let one bad experience ruin it for you and think that reflects the whole network, maybe they were having a bad day or very busy getting stressed out, either way don’t give up with it, from what I have seen and had experience with the network is super professional just maybe stay away from real busy airports until your fully confident in what your doing on there, you should try beyond atc it’s great training material, when I go on vatsim I go to a quiet airport I know and do a small flight to another familiar airport, once I’m fully up to speed I’ll start flying into more busy areas
@@RIBsosay….can understand that. Yes, I use both batc and say intentions. Im an airliner simmer and never fly without atc. Thats what made it so frustrating. I even restated that it was my first time and I wasnt clear on what he was telling me to get my clearance. Anyway….was just a mess. So Ive stayed off and went to other options.
congratulations, my firstflight VATSIM flight was in 1991. You should step up, and use VR!, more realistic, is almost impossible to get. unles you spend 1000000$. and you should diable all this anoying cokpit tool tips :P
@@NorwegianDrone yes my dad is a massive vr flight simmer and would never go back to a desktop setup, maybe one day for me I’m just real happy with where I’m at and what I have at the minute but yes maybe some point in the future
@uerguep4402 if I ever think I’m causing a problem I would just disconnect, as I learn I fly in and out of smaller airports with less traffic, I’m pretty competent with the a320 however I’m still learning new things each flight, my next thing is to watch and learn how to do a proper departure and arrival but like I say I’m trying me best. Anyway don’t watch the flight number 2 fgs 😂

@@jay-rus4437 Im with you buddy - people try to convince me to vatsim but nah, batc is good enough and I dont have to deal with such situations
@@jay-rus4437 some atc give clearance via pdc if it's really busy and the queue is huge.. might where he sent it to you...

I have more ATC s online with BATC. I can understand them better and they talk slower.
