Springmaid Mountain - Trail Clinic/Obstacle Competition | Spruce Pine, North Carolina

Robbie Potter is on a mission. It is not about desensitizing your horse but about building a relationship with your horse. So, at the peaceful 400+ acre Springmaid Mountain Resort outside of Spruce Pine, NC Robbie Potter Horsemanship hosted their first Obstacle Course Competition. Day 1 of the clinic emphasized that relationship between horse and rider and Day 2 emphasized the competition through 10 well-placed and challenging obstacles. Horses were divided into 3 classes: 2-3 yo, 4-6 yo and 7+. The competition was fierce and the obstacles, beginning with the beautiful North Toe River, were tough. A talented group of horses and riders participated in this educational competition!
