For 20 years I’ve been loyal to Abu Garcia. But after seeing a 24ton Graphite rod at a price point almost as much as a PLX veritas and a reel set a 109$ price above a X. I said I know where this is going. Spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years with them. So I sold all the Abu Products and Went with 13 fishing. And I couldn’t be happier.
The Jordon Lee reel is junk. Thin graphite which does have a solid gear system around it. Bearings are cheap and will seize quickly. My frame stretch on a bass trip first time out and the reel was done. If you want to flush $104 down the drain Abu Garcia has some cheap reels for you. I do have some reels in Revo series. I have 3 Revo x gen 4, 1 Revo beast x gen 4, and Revo sx gen 4. All of these are on a aluminum frame and work really well if you adjust the settings correctly. I got the baitcaster combo in October of last year and was impressed with it from the very first time I casted it, I could feel every movement of my bait in the rod a couple weeks later I decided to buy the spinning rod and reel version but they were all sold out I tried everywhere I could think of to find the combo but was at a loss I spent the next couple months in a depression over not being able to have the spinning combo until today I found the it online. I'm looking for a good croppie pole now
