This was exactly what I needed to hear. This reading confirmed everything I've been contemplating for months about my job and career.
Pile 3. I've always wanted to pursue beauty and hairstyling. I distinctly remember my mother telling me to go to college and get a degree and at that time I was disappointed she didn't support my dream, but I figured at least I'd have my degree. I ended up with a degree in education. I spent years teaching and I was doing really well, but I always hated it. I felt like I didn't fit it, like I was stuck and unhappy. I finally took a risk a few years ago and decided to go to cosmetology school. It was difficult to finish because I was working full-time and then I got pregnant, but I finished. Buuut, I had to put my hairstyling dreams on hold because I needed stable hours so as not to conflict with my son's daycare...so I had to stay in teaching. FINALLY, I have the opportunity to work in hairstyling. I am nervous and anxious, but I'm excited because I'm doing it for myself and my son. But then I think that, I’m just doing the same, right? That makes me no better. But then I realize that the people that they make fun of aren’t even that wrong and that their just bringing a argument out of nothing, just miscommunication and lack of judgement. One of my people literally called someone who was a child, a “bitch” when my “person” made her feel bad about being underweight, for real, like there is no reason to talk about something so useless, she got defensive and said she had a big forehead. Of course she spoke in the heat of the moment and shit but it was the truth. There was no reason to bring it up, but she did. But when she did it, it was okay? Like, no babe. That’s hypocrisy. She keeps bringing up people’s bodies and try making them feel bad to feel better. She use to do it to me but when she realized that I didn’t care, she just stopped trying to do it to my face. Sometimes I tell people, like one time I told my dad, but then he told me that I can’t go around saying stuff like that. At that moment I was like what the hell. It was like I was stuck in a reality that didn’t fit my mindset.

Pile 2, I was so stubborn and I was in so much pain that I refused to see things differently. I’ve hurt people unintentionally but it’s because of my difficult, unstable and toxic mindset at that time. I didn’t know what pile to pick ended up choosing 2 and WOW! I have been through a lot the last 5 or so years, truly stopped living life and live in my head constantly. This was so accurate! I had an extremely toxic and abusive relationship that I just couldn’t move passed. I wanted so badly to have a time machine to never have met him. I use to believe in the everything happens for a reason but lost that after this relationship. I have 10000% have held myself back. My mind would constantly f me over and kept me stuck in the negative feelings.
