Wife and were looking at the Model X and really liked how it rode and drove on a demo drive. We were going to order a new Long Range Model X but we found a gently used 2023 Model X Plaid in Ultra Red with white interior, FSD and only 2,200 miles for (gasp) $97k!! We bought it and it's a shockingly good car. Great review!!
Your reaction was priceless 😂😂 Exactly how I felt when I drove the M3P , I was not mentally prepared for what was about to happen😂 I literally got nauseous for a second
So even though Tesla claims 2.5 with the 1 foot rollout, it has constantly tested at 2.3 second subtracting 1 foot and 2.5 seconds without subtracting the 1 foot. So it's faster than Tesla claims.
I noticed that Malcolm (Plaid X) and S Plaid had the previous generation charge port (with the S having the previous rear lights) which means they are one of the early models before updating to their current version. And honestly I’m glad they updated the brake & turn signal lights in the refresh S it just looks better than the previous one.
Wish you a happy new year! That was a very cool review. In the reviews in Europe, the rear screen looks a bit bigger. I've been wondering how your dog is doing. ;-) Nice that he can sit in the front. Hope you turned off the airbag and then buckled him up. Greetings from Switzerland.
Nice review. They dropped the ball removing the USS sensors. I hoped they would had 4680 on the refresh X or S, that was announced 3 years ago.. still seems many months or years away from that..not sure there is much upgrade for the existing owners except for interior and other cosmetic changes perhaps
Happy New Year to you, Lorena! You made me chuckle with Callas' alter ego. This is definitely a luxury class EV for the high-income crowd… and thus I'll never have one. Come to think of it, I doubt I'd opt for one even if I won the lottery. Just don't need all those whiz-bang bells-and-whistles. And I still fail to see how a yoke actually *improves* steering.
Steering is neither improved nor degraded with the yoke. I believe the point of it is to improve visibility to instruments directly in front of the driver, if so equiped. Though I do hear lot of complaints about the touch buttons on the yoke not responding well enough. I personally am happy to stick with a circular-ish wheel and stalks.
@@aguywithcats Actually… I think steering is "degraded" with a yoke with tight turns and backing up a trailer. As for visibility, I like VW's solution: mount the binnacle on the steering column so you can see it wherever you position the wheel.
Gracias ❤
Never understood why the Model X needed a Paid version. It's a family SUV, not like the Model S. And why would anyone pay more for Midnight Silver Metallic then wrap it in white, when they could have gotten white for free?
Because Tesla’s white paint has a long history of bad color matches between body panels. And it’s a drab white. You think someone who paid 138k for a new car cares about a paint upgrade? These are toys for people trying to make a statement.
@@cwheremonster8870 First off, it's not a drab white, it's a pearl white. Secondly, doesn't matter how much someone pays for a car, add on costs matter to everyone.
Dan, you’re right.. “drab” was a bad description… it’s only the panels that don’t match that became “drab”. I’ve owned two Tesla’s, including the aforementioned vehicle in the description. I stand by my statement: You think the average buyer, whose paying over 130-140k (after taxes) gives a shit about color ? Nah.. sorry. They buy the car that’s available, and then make changes . I own a plaid model X. There’s not ONE thing that makes sense from a economic point of view . That was the point of my comment . No need to get excited, or ruffled. I hope you are well. I enjoy the conversation.
@@cwheremonster8870 Just because you feel that way doesn't mean others who paid out over $100k for a car feel the same way about color prices. I'm not excited or ruffled, you're entitled to your own opinion but not the masses.
I don't like the term first world, nor the term first world problems. And don't tell me my dislike of it is itself a first world problem. Neither tell me anything else I don't want to hear. What you should say is "yes, let's get rid of the terms 'first world' and 'first world problems,' they suck deeply." But what I do like is you as a person. And evs too!

😁 It’s so fun!
Great review, the X is my dream car. I also love the Arizona landscape.
sameee ill get it in a few years
Ordered our model x plaid in late august and we are getting it Saturday
They claim 1020 hp which would be equivalent to 760 kw but I've logged 818.44 kw (1097 hp) kw at 90% and that wasn't even with dragstrip mode.

Professional reviewer voice: "...it's still relentlessly quick"
Genuine reaction voice: "OOHOOH MY GAOOWD. Holy beep"
That was a fun review to watch. Thank you for showing it to us. The review was straight to the point and concise. Good job!❤

Thanks. Finally that silly yoke is optional.
It’s my dream vehicle ❤

looks interesting but looks small for a suv, i guess it may be similar to small suvs
That’s a big frunk! I think you might fit in that frunk? I think there should be a Plaid paint option for the plaid models. 😂
Very good job!

Weird 360 camera effect
Stinking adorable. 😊
Roads were we going we don’t need roads “ 88 miles an hr plaid style” lol 😂
Voice control?

"Relying on tesla vision for parking." Should I tell her guys, or does someone else want to...
Thank GOD they finally gave people the option to not have that stupid yoke.
Wow would love to own a Tesla but I'll be 80 years soon and time is running out.
You should rent one when you get the chance

Looks interesting, but I can't say that's worth 3 of my RWD Model 3's
It is if you can afford it. It crushes supercars in acceleration.
No,Plaid only come with 6 layout. I called it most stupid layout, two “ captain seat” is not comfortable at all and you lose a lot truck space

That sure looks like a car you had better be rid of when the full warranty ends. It's an electrical nightmare waiting to happen.
O I would love to spend more time with you
