That was the whole point! At 60 He cant do stunts and throw 20 ppl in the air. He commanded the screen through his dialogues and ideologies that lesser minds could never comprehend. They could not see the mass in this movie but instead were waiting for the same old same old Rajini. A Master piece in Indian Cinema went unseen thanks to the carnal needs of the masses!

Kaala is the leader personality created by Ranjith who mainly steps into physical or social fight for his people not for himself. This kind of expectation is only killed the movie (along with draggy second half of the movie).
