Rhea Terner I believe it’s about being in love with someone who is scared to fall in love back. You know they love you and they know they love you, but you also know that there’s something stopping them from giving in to that emotion. I think he’s telling her that he has already imagined a world with them together. Some lines in the song also gives me reason to believe this may be about loving someone from a distance, both metaphorically AND physically. The metaphorical distance is the emotional barrier put up by the person he loves, and the physical distance would correlate to the lines, “but don’t let me leave cause I can’t kiss you through a screen”, “ you’re still too far, I know how hard I finally fell”, and so what’s it take to make you make me wanna stay a little longer?”. It’s a beautiful song. He is such an underrated singer and writer. His songs make me cry lol
