Dude.. I got the newer one 2016 and yeah it handles better and gets better gas mileage, and has more gimmicks..
but it has WAY less "personality" then the older style of body design

Dude....I've been brand loyal to Honda's, with the exception of one Toyota Corolla since the mid eighties....
we have three honda's in the family now..
I've been Toyota loyal since 1990....3 Tacomas never a problem! But when I couldn't do the transfers from my chair to my truck anymore I had to switch to a van. The company I wanted to get a van did Dodge, Chrysler, Chevy, GMC and Honda. I'm no dummy and Honda was the only choice! I love my Odyssey! I'll email you a link!

Got a used 2012 Xterra myself, but I do love the Honda vehicles I have owned. (Still bummed I never had a CRX Si...Sigh) There is something about the Japanese V6s...So smooth. Even my survivalist gear laden X can get up and boogie. Enjoy your "new" Honda dude!
I had to merge with traffic off an on ramp during rush hour. and had just gotten the PILOT, and this guy decided to play the "don't see you, not gonna let you merge game" I stood on it and it kicked down a few gears, hit 2nd hard and 3rd too in full VTECH, matched his speed and then got ahead of him and he was OBVIOUSLY trying to accelerate, the look on his face when I pulled away that fast was utterly epic. kinda an 'aw crap, his car is faster then mine' LMAO
he figured out I had more then enough engine to match him and he gave up and I safely slid into the right lane.then made my other two needed lane changes (road splits really stupid near my house).
enjoying it, with a decent sound system and good engine set up and driving style. just wish it got a little better gas mileage.
My 07 pilot EXL FWD still drive like new, with timing belt/water pump/master cylinder/alternator changed.
sad part is some dumbass in my town crossed the centerline and totaled it and ruined my first pilot..sad was a great truck. I did replace it with a 2016 EX-L and that one has been decent, but the older gens just drive more like I am familiar with.
Just bought one for $2000! 109K miles
okay on mine with 250K before some dirtbag totaled it. I replaced the power steering rack with a used unit, struts, alternator, power steering pump, and mostly TLC, and it ran and ran. doing UBER and Lyft. the only part that sucked was the gas mileage was never in the low 20's, best I ever got was like 19mpg. but it ALWAYS ran, and never left me stranded, it was a great car.
