I work with the 9-5’ers municipal employees and they can be just as lowdown. Sleeping with each other, swapping, scamming. I sit at my desk, mind my business and shake my head at the foolishness. I’m thinking of writing a book loosely based around my experiences.
Used to listen to the Strawberry letter alot but I stopped when the topic came up about a man that was married to a woman who made more than him, he took care of the kids, house, etc while the wife was never home. The woman decided to divorce him but the husband won custody of the kids and alimony and Shirley got pissed. I stopped listening after that

That is how the law works. The main care taker gets the children and the other parent pays child care and alimony. I know a few women who pay it. But they went with the ex to a joint divorce counselor and used the court system to figure out how much, saving everyone money.
Also much better for the children if the parents are not fighting.

I fail to believe that Shirley didn't do her due diligence by getting a background check on Ernesto. She just ignored it all and hoped he was truly reformed, which backfired in a major way. The fact that she's still with him when he has charges against him relating to her daughter and grandchildren and she wrote an affidavit requesting his release is what's mind-blowing to me.....

Steve was all in on this guy probably because he looked like he had money and he was 6 feet tall. This is the thing that bothers me, what is so bad about being a girlfriend or boyfriend to someone then learning everything you need to learn about them before you take that big step of getting married if you choose to go that route. When it comes to dating nowadays this is just my opinion, people need to see themselves as corporations and someone else coming into their lives and building relationship as another corporation as well as they're willing to do a partner deal with you. So that means you're going to have to screen them you're going to need to spend time with the corporation in order to understand how it functions. before you decide to go the route of marriage or what I call a merger of two companies together. The old school way of dating doesn't exist anymore it's seen as a disgusting means and a oddity compared to it should be the norm. Just does seem as a cold way of thinking but we're in the age of scammers, liars, users and leeches and you need to have all the tools in order to protect yourself. Find honest love and affection from a partner and to live a life where you both are communicating, respecting as well as cooperating with each other to build a future that's built on happiness. Happiness, love, and whatever else of future holds for you the foundation is the key to ensure that the house you build will always last forever.

I’m going to be honest with Mrs. Strawberry, who I think is a cool person, but I know black women like her personally, and I know the type of men nearly 95% of them go for. In her line of work, especially in the cities she’s lived in, she’s been around SEVERAL successful, well off black men who are also very good people, but I’m more than certain she likely thought those guys were lame, were a bit too soft, corny or maybe they lived lives that were a tad bit too disciplined for her. Melinated women like her only want a successful black man if he’s that felon/ thug type edge to him, it’s why they love Ghost from Power so much, and are willing to ruin their lives over it. What’s even worse, it’s been the older women teaching the younger women this entire time that “good guys” are boring and are too structured and that a felon with money is the best guy for them smh.

But will be blowing your phone at 1am from prison. The age gap was a big warning flag. A woman can't be with a man no more than 1 to 3 yrs her junior, the man has to be same age or older.

The problem is that religion is now denigrated, but being “spiritual” is fashionable. They see divinity in themselves rather than some religious deity. This also means they are never wrong since divine beings don’t make mistakes. Diving beings also don’t content themselves with merely making a living, they have to have amazing lives because that’s what divine beings do. It’s a nasty whirlwind of narcissism that not only leads to their own destruction but that of those close to them as well.
