    Regarding the Throne plus Beckoning combo: It's actually better to destroy spirit in the deck instead of samsara so spirit floats into yubel therefore having one more body to make apollousa and keep yama in gy for follow up, the line is as follows: make the dschinn with 2 beckoning, destroy spirit in the deck with throne , summon yubel, reborn spirit, set nightmare pain, pop yubel and search squirmer, float with yubel into terror, summon squirmer, make yama with squirmer and terror to keep spirit on field, search sharvara, sharvara pop spirit, spirit float into yubel and throne float into terror in the gy, use sharvara and terror for rage and set chamber, make apo with rage and yama and lastly use squirmer to reborn spirit and make varudras. This keeps yama in the gy to summon from the hand or gy on the follow up turns and ends on apo as well

    This looks like a really good list and you clearly know the deck, so I'm going to be annoying and ask your opinion on a couple cards/state my own opinions.
    - I keep going back and forth between 2-3 3-2 or even 3-3 for the Sacred Beast engine. My understanding on the difference, 3 Beasts for mainly trying to play around Nib, or 3 Spirit Gates to play around Imperm/Veiler, and it doesn't get hit quite as hard as Beast does if it's Ashed, or even technically even Drolled since you activated it in the first place. Is this a correct assessment, or am I missing something else? If that's the case, then 3 Spirit Gates is probably better in general(?)
    - Why Terraforming? If it gets Ashed okay, the field spell would have been too so it doesn't change anything. But if you get Drolled you can't use Throne to do anything but pop Spirit, Yubel, or Squirmer from deck that turn. We could only choose to pop under Droll, and it's second effect doesn't work if we have to summon Terror from deck since it adds first. You can't even pop Lotus and then use Spirit Gates to revive it since in order to activate Spirit Gates you need to search which you can't under Droll. Or maybe I'm wrong about this ruling.
    ~ But Set Rotation is actually goated. Since it gets around Ash and Droll, plus either costs your opponent 1000 life to get rid of or they're stuck with no in engine field spell. The only downside is a combo I listed below with another rank 10 and Apollousa wouldn't work well unless they pop Chicken Game, so it'd probably need to be Varudras instead of a funny (not great admittedly) combo. I looked at possible alternatives, Defense Zone seemed like an interesting option, but Chicken Game is better.
    - I do think 2 OG Yubel's is a better, I've had multiple times where I get both Yubels and Spirit on board. But that being said, you convinced me I'm going to try 2 Spirits instead of 3. I'm not so sure on Nightmare Pain going down to 2, but I'm not hating it now. I think it mostly depends on if you run the other 2 Yubel Spell/Traps, if you hard draw Pain you can search for one of the other 2. Chronicle is a great extender or maybe removal, and at worst a piece for grind game/follow up, and Eternal Favorite is a possible board wipe or recursion, though I am finding myself liking Eternal less and less as I almost never search it anymore. I might throw it in the Side Deck, it's a good card, but not for every match up.
    - What do you think of Super Producer? I don't have Little Knight so I'm using Unicorn instead, but for the 1 card combo with Lotus alone, you could instead summon Super Producer off Rage, pop probably it's self, Yama in grave to summon Spirit, if you're playing Chronicle or Eternal Favorite you can set that or just add another Nightmare Pain to hand as a backup or discard fodder, Yama pop Spirit, summon Yubel. SP is stronger, but this gives better battle protection with Apollousa, or Gryphon if you play that. SP is better and still Unicorn is basically budget SP, but I thought it was an interesting line to actually get you a Yubel monster on board with Nightmare Pain out and a Link 4 using the 1 card combo.
    - And what about Number 35 Ravenous Tarantula? At first this was a funny "budget" (but not really card) I threw in because haha my Yubels are huge and I Varudras might be out of my price range. But it actually pairs with Apollousa really well and might be able to take both Accesscode Talker's and kind of Gustav Max's place in the extra deck. Freeing up space by replace 2 for 1. Trading Varuadras's Omni Negate gives you a burn and more attack for Apollousa for more Monster Negates, Tarantula does 600 every time the opponent special summons and gives your monsters ATK/DEF equal to the deference in life meaning Apollousa will gain effectively 75% of a negate every time they special summon and be made with at least 2 materials in the first place, the opponent will either have to have a Spell/Trap to stop this or go directly in to battle against Tarantula or maybe a 1600 Apollousa if their normaled starter is strong.
    - I also think the new Grinder Golem is a side deck card. But not for OTKs, summoning Golem to your opponents field stops them from activating cards like Evenly, Imperm, Lightning Storm or what ever else like summoning a free Kashtira like a lot of decks just do. It also wouldn't hurt for OTKs, but that's not the reason you side it.

    • @solemnyugioh
      @solemnyugioh  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      - You got that right.
      - This deck is pretty bricky. You don't have the luxury of not running another 1 card starter. It loses to droll? Too bad. If we could play 3 terraforming, I would do so too.
      - While 2 yubel is more flexible in what lines you can do at any point, it also means 1/10 games, you will have another dead card in your hand. And as I've stated; yes, Yubel has a billion REALLY cool extra options you can run to make the deck more flexible... At what point do you accept those 1/10 games bricks add up though? I'm seeing comments here advocating for geist, advocating for mature chronicle, advocating for third nightmare pain, advocating for third spirit, advocating for the third form of yubel, etc etc etc... All these extra cards that aren't hand traps, aren't breakers and aren't starters, WILL add up. You're basically taking 1/10 game bricks, with 1/10 game bricks, with 1/10 game bricks, until you've got half your games having 1 more brick in hand... We gotta make choices sometimes and I wanna be ruthless in what I cut until I notice I cannot live without certain pieces.
      - I'm confused how your 1-card lotus combo isn't getting you to spirit? Lotus by itself already gets you spirit access... What does super producer do here? I know it's a cool extender in more involved combos but I don't understand how you need it for spirit?
      - I fail to see how tarantula fixes any of the deck's issues.Varudras' omni negate is extremely important, in my opinion. And 600 burn per special actually is nothing. Even a single mascquerade in branded or a single red eyes flare metal in kashtira has historically not been impactful enough to be a major end board piece.. and those count activations, not just special summons...
      - Geistgrinder I really like for OTKing because it's the one struggle the deck has. I think turning off imperm with it is not a relevant concern because that would mean you opened exactly it + spirit. I'd rather not rely on 2 card combos where 1 of them is a 1-off... (Unless you search it in your combo, in which case it isn't stopping imperm, because they wouldn't used imperm on your first actions). Turning off evenly/lightning storm is what we play varudras for and is also why abominable trap is set. Even if the varudras gets outed and then evenly is used, I'll just leave the trap as a really powerful interrupt.

      @goldlink567 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@solemnyugioh I think you misunderstood part of my Super Producer stuff. It's swapping Little Knight with Producer for the summon off Rage, blowing it's self up and using Yama to summon Spirit of Yubel, search for an extra card, and having Yama blow up Spirit to summon OG Yubel to pair with Pain for "double" damage. SP Little Knight is better 100%, but when you don't want to spend +$100 on a single piece of cardboard, it's an alternative battle focused play to Knightmare Unicorn which does spin something but requires you to discard, and with just the 1 card combo I don't think can be co-linked to draw a replacement.
      That's a good idea to figure out what bricks we *need* to play, cut them out and see if we miss them. It's not like we can't change the ratios or cards later. I will still advocate for Chronicle as an extender or secondary search target with Spirit, but I suppose I'll try playing without it so see how much I miss having it as an option. Same with the second Yubel. But out of all the bricks, I think those are gonna be the ones I'll miss most, we'll see.
      Tarantula was originally quite literally a funny temporary filler card I put in about a week ago, but it's been decent enough I do want to keep it. Gustav can do more damage at once, but Tarantula can double as a burn card like Gustav (I hate cowboy for game but you still have a version) and an OTKer like Accesscode, meaning you wouldn't need to run both, freeing up extra deck space. Besides it being a funny card, that's my reasoning behind it. It can burn easy and OTK easy, plus has a good combo with Apollousa if that can come up, giving her more negations and making them both harder to run over the more the opponent plays. I wasn't trying to say it _should_ be run or it fixes something, at worst it's a bad Gustav and Accesscode in 1 card, at best (besides the combo) it's Gustav and Accesscode in 1 card.
      (Technically it's also a bad board wipe, but you'd probably want to ditch OG Yubel from it immediately with just 1 Yubel in main so you don't need to ditch the monster to bring out OG Yubel, it's burn also only goes off with materials. The 3rd effect's only gonna pop stuff if there is a large enough difference in life. So it's just like another option it can do, but not a reason to play it. 3rd effect is a win harder effect.)
      That is my problem with Geistgrinder, being to hard to go into. You need to open either Spirit+Grinder, or your Throne/Lotus with Scared Beast + Grinder or Squirmer so you search the 2nd one with Pain, using Spirit Gate to discard Grinder to get it in grave. Or discard with Muckraker if you for some reason can summon OG Yubel again after Muckraker is out. I'm trying to make every card I can playable, but not all of them are and I definitely get that with Grinder. I still think Grinder and Eternal Favorite could be decent side deck options, but honestly Geistgrinder Golem might not even make the sideboard cut.

      One thing I do want to mention is, Super Poly is like a necessary evil and it sucks, if you run into the mirror and they have access to it and you don't, you're going to have a worse time trying to play. It sucks but if the deck becomes popular enough then you need to keep it in mind.

    • @solemnyugioh
      @solemnyugioh  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Luckily I don't really think we'd see many mirrors given it's still fire-or-bust in a lot of ways lol. Beyond that, I'm not putting Yubel on my end-boards, so super poly won't hit me.
      And we'd use our interrupts to ensure their yubel/spirit never hits the board, keeping super poly offline. Going second, it'll be tougher, but we can hope our hand traps ensure their board remains empty enough that they don't really get to a yubel/spirit on there.

    • @soundgreyhound
      @soundgreyhound 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sound arguments but what you’re not taking account for is when going second into the mirror you need to remove their hidden backrow or else. They don’t need yubel when you supply it trying to combo. You’re almost never otking the mirror, you’re resource grinding, hand comparing and the tides can shift in an instant. Supo is our best trap card too for when shit is its ugliest.

    Nice to see the Sacred Beast support helps Yubel. Yubel used the Sacred Beasts in the anime to use their powers to merge all dimensions and get together with Jaden... or make him suffer forever. Whatever.

    Ravenous tarantula is a nice addition to the extra deck as well. I've had several duels where I'll superpoly off their board and or link off with rage and they will leave the board blank thinking it will help them survive the next turn. Your hand trap version feels like you’re trying to play snake eyes with the number of hand traps and the main deck built to perform its 1 or 2 main combos. So, I understand that doesn’t sound bad at all really, why not mimic the best deck if you can right? but I think while trying to mimic it you lose out on some of the best aspects of playing yubel like super poly being searchable, reflected battle damage being a win con, and spirit being a hand trap that can be relevant. (This is in reference to the ratios you chose to play)
    All that said, I’m gonna give it a try on DB and see how I feel about it after. It’s very different from most lists for sure.

      It's definitely trying to be more like a modern combo/mid-range deck because I sadly feel like the current metagame (assuming you face a bunch of fire) is asking that of us :/ Might even want Piri Reis Map or Prosperity for that to have even more 1-card combos through all the hand traps. While all those other options are really cool for Yubel, I feel like this just isn't the format for it. Any decent Tenpai player will also out Spirit and then still OTK :/ Would love to know how things work out for you though! Especially super poly... I feel like into pure snake eye and voiceless (if they play decently well), it's just REALLY mid and we can't seem to break their boards backed up by non-engine when we rely on breakers

    I think not playing mature chronicle is a huge mistake. If you open nightmare pain you need a second spell/trap to set off of Spirit and it allows you to play through so many more interruptions plus makes your follow up much more threatening

      I think later down the line you‘d add mature chronicle again since it combos together with other cards which allows you to play through handtraps more effectively. Also you can do some cute things like the colossus lines or post side add back handtraps you negated with crossout for example. I think its a better card as it gives you options to tinker with & become a bit more versatile in deckbuilding.
      Idk if i want to respect fire since we all know this deck cant compete rn. So, automatically this becomes more of a have fun in locals kinda deck where the meta is more diverse.
      Great deckbuilding though, love that you cut down the bricks :D

    Imma say this. I am a very competitive player and I see your points. • @solemnyugioh
      @solemnyugioh  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A lot of Yubel's good payoff cards are extremely bricky in the hand yes.
      Here's the cards that don't start combos: Yubel Terror Incarnate, Yubel, Spirit Of Yubel, Nightmare Pain, Mature Chronicle, Eternal Favorite, Geistgrinder Golem, Grave Squirmer
      Of those cards, only squirmer single-handedly generates a small unchained combo when dark beckoning or samsara gets impermed/veilered.
      All the others don't even do that. They CAN create small combos in specific combinations un-interrupted, but in a format where everyone is on 3 ash 3 imperm 3 veiler 3 mourner 3 nibiru, we gotta focus on the cards that combo by themselves and then actually extend.

    You cant kill under skill drain because your deck doesnt run the cards to do so. Geist grinder is seriously under rated imo.
    Lets you search and set up an OTK when your opponent bricks or tries to be cute and pass on nothing, lets you summon spirit from hand and get the search off, lets you force a battle phase or over extension by using Eternal favorite in your opponents mp to revive a yubel while grinder is in gy, lets you kill under skill drain if pain is up, and shuts off imperm, kashtira's, and evenly of you draw it going first.
    Is it worth searching every game, no. But its a good one of IMO.

    • @solemnyugioh
      @solemnyugioh  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yubel has a ton of good one-offs. The main issue is; how many of these are you willing to stomache before your deck runs double the amount of bricks even unchained was running?
      The examples you brought up mostly work if you're opening combinations of TONS of engine... which makes me assume you're not running 15 hand traps... which makes me assume you're getting a really solid going first and an almost unplayable fire matchup... It's tough, of course, because we are truly running a really middle-of-the-road deck right now, but I want to ensure my fire matchup is passable before anything else.

    • @JEL625
      @JEL625 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@solemnyugioh I appreciate yiur feedback and believe I understand your reasoning.
      At this time in testing I'd rather side the extra hand traps for snake-eye and main more extenders as the deck can struggle to put up a board if you open too many off engine cards. Even if you go to an event and only face snake-eye you should still win the roll half of the time.
      That said, I whole-heartedly believe your mindset will take you further if you can get to the higher tables at a regional, where you're most likely to get multiple sinful match-ups in a row. But I think it's slighter more vulnerable to off-meta strategies as a result.

      @@solemnyugioh Two Spirit? Two Pain? Two Beckon. No Mature. No Eternal for first example?
      Saying Pain isn’t an extender/starter, or not much of one is crazy when it’s how you OTK with the deck, and get your main win con. Also, surprised to not see Chaos to have an extension (although I get if you don’t play that for the first example as I don’t like it but it helps). Also, this deck has really bad consistency at times and having three pain assures the deck has ways to the engine, and spirit at 3 at all times allows you to defend, stall or push harder (and really helps with grind games which the deck struggles with already).
      When Fiendsmith comes out, I can understand wanting to cut back, but the deck needs all it can get.

    • @solemnyugioh
      @solemnyugioh  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kashtiranaxxheart But pain isn't actually a way to engine. Try the lines for yourself. You need extremely specific combinations for pain to actually become any semblance of a combo. And for OTKing, it really only does that if you get the whole spirit line going, meaning you have access to it already anyway.
      If spirit by itself is getting you to engine that you previously didn't have access to, that means your opponent entered battle phase with 0 other interruptions, so they're probably on an extremely mid deck... That's not something I want to be hoping for.
      Mature is really nice through nib/droll but really mid in a format where most decks are on 3 veiler, 3 imperm 3 mourner. I am currently running it again, but it'll remain to be seen if it stays in.
      At the end of the day though, the big issue with high copies of all these cards, is that you're basically forced onto breakers (because you can't fit the 15 hand traps otherwise), which is just awful into fire. This current list is the best fire matchup I've had with yubel compared to the typical 3-3-3-3 approach I've been seeing around.
