    Calculating the cloud top/base using the formula & using the 1 in 60 rule, we get different answers. Please tell me why is it so??

    • @poh
      @poh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1 in 60 rule is an approximation of trignometry, that is the reason there is a slight difference. It is like a thumbrule to a more accurate answer for inflight application. That is the reason it is different.

    There are a few things I really hate when listens to someone. One is asking "ok?" all the time. You just said a sentence. My ears are working, my brain is working. Of course it is ok. There is no remote possibility of not getting it!

      @@poh you dont need to think about this at all. people always have something to complain about. first of all u have no responsibility to give out the information for free and if u r doing that then thats all your greatness squeezed out for people like us. we cannot be more thankful for this. :)

      @Tanishq - There was my hidden sarcasm for that comment of his. Lol. There are so many such things on my channel like that. Ofcourse I'll try to improve my content but that doesn't mean I'm so worried about the accent or how I'm sending information across. It doesn't matter to me. I'm positive about things. But nevertheless thank you for your comment and support. 🙏🏼 appreciate it.

    Do you know when we get FCU fail, we lost the WX Radar.?

    • @poh
      @poh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes

    • @jtovilla
      @jtovilla 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@poh do you know why?

    • @poh
      @poh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since in Dual FCU the altimeter isn't accurate hence the terrain database goes for a toss and because of that weather radar image isn't available too.

    Capt you've used -5 deg of tilt so the answer should b 35000-4500=31500.

    • @poh
      @poh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No no! Sorry for the confusion.. it is like beamwidth is 5 degrees
      is = (-)
