You can easily book travel insurance through Expatrio. They offer comprehensive coverage that meets the requirements for the Opportunity Card visa.

Really Nice. Can we do the city registration by staying at Airbnb or hotel or do we need to find an accommodation then do a city registration??

Thank you! As far as I know, hotels don’t provide city registration, but you can check with your Airbnb host if they’re willing to fill out and sign the city registration form if you plan to stay longer. Once you move to Germany and stay in any accommodation, including Airbnb, you’ll have 14 days to register yourself with the city. If not done within this time frame, there’s a possibility you could face a fine.

My proof of accommodation is going to be my sister’s apartment in ffm. For the city registration, who should be filling out the anmeldung form? Any guidance?
My visa is not yet in. It will be tentatively received on 18th oct.

Your sister will need to fill out the Anmeldung form, where she’ll provide details such as your arrival date in Germany, the date she’s submitting the form, along with both your signatures, the address, and a few other details. This will serve as your official city registration.

It’s a rented accommodation. Will that work?

Then your sister will need to provide landlord’s confirmation, which confirms that she is allowed to register you at the address. The form will need to be filled out by the landlord or property owner, giving permission for your registration at the rented apartment.

If a person gets this opportunity card, will he be able to take his spouse together with himself or they can apply later through dependent visa

If a person receives the Opportunity Card, they cannot take their spouse along immediately unless the spouse applies for their own Opportunity Card separately. You can only bring your spouse on a dependent visa after you secure a job and convert your visa to a category that allows dependent family members to join you, such as the EU Blue Card.
