    What a waste of everything! Clearly just for tv. If you think about what they did for two seconds you'll see how absurd this is. They put all the nice plants and everything under the window while leaving it all bare and just rocks against the wall. So basically the whole time inside you see absolutely nothing but the bare wall because the plants are all hiding under the widow. It's as if they never did anything! Also to top it off the whole wall area they did zero hanging or vineing plants to cover the wall and just left it bare. How crazy is that, what kind of landscapers are these!!! The whole thing is mental. They could have made it a nice sitting area with a outdoor fountain and hanging and vineing flowering plants on the wall. Actually that is something anyone could do. As professionals they could have made a small waterfall fountain and done professional patio planters and made a beautiful patio out there. What a joke.

      It's a Lilli Pilly, scientfic name - Syzygium smithii. They grow to about 30 metres but they are very common in Australia as tall hedging plants. They are very easy to trim and they are the hardiest of drought plants, which is perfect for Southern California.

    In Australian English does "garden" mean what it means in American English or British English?

    • @abbylayla2000
      @abbylayla2000 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Garden is where the flowers and plants go.

    • @squirehaggard4749
      @squirehaggard4749 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Matthew Breeden British would say "front garden" or "garden" (meaning behind the house, though they might say "back garden" to differentiate) like an American would say "front yard" or "backyard". Of course there can be a considerable difference in scale, as American yards can be very large. It doesn't necessarily correspond to the amount of planting. I'm assuming the Australian use will be along the lines of the British usage.

    They make it look so easy but all the hard work are done in the background by professionals. When you go do it it’s completely different and it ends up more trouble than it’s worth. Doesn’t even tell you the basics like setting up a string line and th concrete under the pave needs to cover the whole surface and edge be sloping off.
