📍MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS -------->
1) MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS has launched a pilot programme in Chandigarh city to provide cashless treatment to the victims of road accidents caused by the use of motor vehicles.
2) MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS announced new regulations on driving license and made driving test at RTO optional with effect from 1st June.
3) according to MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT & HIGHWAYS, a total of 12,349 km of National Highways(NHs) were constructed in the Financial Year 2023-24 (FY24). This is the 2nd highest figure in the history of the construction of national highways. FY21 stands in first place with a length of 13,327km of national highways.
📍INTERNATIONAL SOLAR ALLIANCE (ISA)----------->
1) Spain became the 99th official member of ISA.
2) Malta is the 119th country to sign the ISA Framework Agreement.
3) The 98th member of ISA was Panama.
4) 6th session of the International Solar Alliance Assembly held at New Delhi. HQ of ISA is in Gurugram , Haryana.
📍NATIONAL APPOINTMENTS-------->
1) Sanjay Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the president of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal(GSTAT).
2) Pratima Singh is appointed as director of the DPIIT(department of Promotion, industry and internal trade).
3) A Ganesh Kumar is appointed as a member of the National Statistical Commission.
4) R laxmikanth Rao is appointed as Executive Director of RBI.
