This song is one of those that either gives you chills or makes you cry or both when you hear it. Aaron is one of the greatest singers out there and doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I don't agree with him too much at all politically, but that doesn't stop me from being able to enjoy this AMAZING song. My Dad committed suicide and this evokes a lot of emotions in me every time I hear it. It's just incredible. The lyrics touch my heart just about more than any other song ever has. Amazing!

My dad introduced me to this song when I was 12. He didn't know the impact on me. We buried him today. We played this at his funeral today. Beautiful song.

This is one of the best songs I have ever heard. Aaron is also the only singer that can bring a tear to my eye with his music. The way he puts so much emotion into the lyrics, and the way he sings this song... It just brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. Aaron is the person that made me want to start singing. So Aaron, I just want to say, if you ever see this, you should know that you are an inspiration to many. May you live a happy life.
I have also requested this song to be played at my funeral years ago. the first time I head it I thought that it was written for that soul purpose. My life and those who share the same life that I have lived. Good and bad.
This song like many others has hit home. I struggle with addiction. I am sober a few weeks now. It's not an easy process but my cousin who I was very close with was my best friend he overdosed a few months ago and this song reminds me of not only my addiction but his as well, sadly his addiction won the battle but this song gives me the strength just another reason to stay sober for myself and for my cousin. I love you Adam and miss you. May your soul rest easy, I will see you one day again 3

My son got a back stage all inclusive pass to one of his concerts, he (Aaron) called me from my son's cellphone from the concert & called me Mom and we chatted....Aaron Lewis called me Mom! LOL He is one classy guy though. Wish you the best in your future!
this guy is like my generations Kurt Cobain in my eyes. unique voice, great lyrics, and his own style. everything that makes a great artist great. hes deffinately ranked up there with Kurt and Layne.

I had tickets to see Staind and missed all but the last 10 minutes of their set because I was waiting for my friend to show up who was instead enjoying a party even though he had me buy tickets, fucking brutal, and he still hasn't paid me for it, but I did get to hear this song live and it was absolutely beautiful and made my day much better. Beautiful voice.
