Great reaction! ('The voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope' is when you're about to hang yourself, and the voice of hope stops you.) I think you'll find, particularly as a reactor, that Ren is a gift that keeps on giving.
Hey bro, you’re not alone in this. Most of us deeply connect with what Ren is depicting here in Hi Ren. We all deal with that inner critic, who relentlessly tries to instill fear in us, so we quit even trying to what we’re passionate about. That inner voice is primal fear, “Don’t try to jump that gap! You’ll never make it. You’ll slip and kill yourself. You can’t jump that far and the will maim yourself forever. Don’t even try. There must be an easier way around.” Yes, that primal inner voice is so afraid of failure, it tries to get us to not even try. I’ve learned to soften that inner critic by empathizing with it and overcoming its concerns/fears with questions like, “So what if she says no to a dance, she can’t say yes, if I don’t ask.” “So what if they never offer me that job, they can’t call me for an interview, if I never apply nor send a resume.” No, you’re not alone. Just look for enjoyable ways to soften that inner critic and dance with him and his fears. Peace 🖖

Some deep like this with acoustic guitar, a bunch of rap songs that he produces the beats, mixes, beatboxes, and yes, kills the different flows & word play. He's also great on electric guitar & rock, reggae, blues etc, he's got an incredible singing voice. A couple of months ago he got to #1 album in the UK, even though he's independent, no music contract, did everything on his own. He's been through hell for 10 yrs with his physical health that cause a lot of mental distress, too, but he was finally accurately diagnosed with Lyme disease so started proper treatment.
From a year ago when Hi Ren was first released by Ren himself...totally unknown before a year ago "Up until I was 9 years old, I would intermittently hear a voice in my head that was not my own. The voice was distinctly different to mine, and always negative. It would self criticise or urge me to do things I knew to be morally wrong. The most peculiar thing about the voice was that it took no effort on my behalf to produce. My own thoughts always felt like there was a process that required effort to bring them to the forefront of my mind, this voice appeared as though it was spoken by another. The sentences felt predetermined like they had already been constructed. I remember very vividly at 9 years old, becoming very frustrated with the voice. I stood in my back yard, internally screaming at the voice to be silent again and again, and it did. In a flash there was silence, to the point where my head felt like an empty room. I wasn't used to the quiet and that voice never returned. It almost felt lonely in my head. When I got older I had intermittent bouts with auditory hallucinations where I would hear perfect symphonies, usually at night when drifting off to sleep. They were so clear that they sounded like they were emanating from a radio in the corner of my room. I knew they weren't there, but for some reason they never came with the feeling of fear. I also recall sitting on a bus at the age of 15, and hearing the sound of a crowded room, with about 100 voices chattering away, I was the only person apart from the driver on the bus. These experiences were always very brief, and few and far between. My last hallucination was during an intense bout of psychosis in 2015, and was my first visual hallucination. I was walking down a pavement after jumping out my mums car in a crossroads in a moment of frustration and distress with my condition. I was trying to run from myself. What appeared to be a homeless man with a dark complexion approached me, and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I had been sick most my life, and I wasn't sure I had the strength to continue. He looked at me, and smiled and told me 'everything is going to be okay in the end Ren.' I had not told him my name. There was something so overpoweringly sincere about this very simple message, which brought with it an overwhelming feeling of inner peace, and in a flash, he vanished. My rational brain always linked these experiences to what the doctors have told me, that there are parts of my brain compromised by the autoimmunity in my body. That the myelin sheaths surrounding the complex electrical system that conduct my thoughts were damaged and compromised, causing these lucid experiences that I knew did not exist inside the physical world. The part of me that edges away from logical and rational thought always attributed these thoughts to some kind of otherworldly intervention, that made my thoughts the battleground of some spiritual tug of war. For a long time I never really acknowledged this part of myself, for with it brought the danger and stigma of sounding like a crazy person. Here to watch you realise that there is so much more to music than the (music industry) let you believe I'm 62 and this young man has not only changed my mind on how music can make you feel but on life itself😊 uk
Found u after Flowers after Rainfall shared this. Welcome to the Ren Rabbit Hole. Subbed for more Ren. The Tales of Jenny and Screech is awesome. Its a 13 min trilogy so look for that one so u get all 3 parts together. And Chalk Outlines the live version
Just subbed. And I'm sure you are going to get a ton of suggestions on where to go next, let me take an approach a lot won't and suggest "Humble" featuring Eden Nash. I think you'll quickly learn that Ren has no style, but all styles. He's just Ren doing Ren things.
Ren is an exceptional artist and human being. Subbed to follow your journey into the world of Ren. He and his talented friends who surround him will amaze you at every turn! Enjoy this roller coaster ride. The Renegades will follow! ☮️❤️😎
Hey there. Great reaction. I think you will find, that most of us Renegades can heavily relate to that feeling of being in a dark room, fighting an internal struggle. You aren't alone and it gets better 🖤
Check out "the tale of jenny and screech", the 13 minute video. And check out the 3 part "money game" series. And "chalk outlines" with chinchilla. And "what you want". And "hunger" has bars on bars on bars. Dude there's so much ren stuff, and its all good.
If you do the tales of Jenny and screech make sure you do the full version trilogy Jenny screech and finally violet's tale in that order otherwise it won't make sense great reaction btw welcome to the Ren rollercoaster enjoy the ride it amazing ✌️
Ren is on track to become a generational artist. Multi-talented and insanely creative. Plus, he seems like a decent dude, very open with his fans and the reactor community. Have fun exploring.
i'll throw one in that's a little bit of both, his band, The Big Push - Shot the Sherriff / Road to Zion / Hip Hop, Red suspenders version. But if you wanna be blown away again, check out 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech (official)' [13:31 length]
Ren was bitten by a tic which caused him Lyme disease. He was misdiagnosed for years. He is finally getting the right treatment. Ren does all his own work. Makes all his own beats, and directs all his videos. Do Sick Bio next to get a better understanding of him
I have never laughed so loud as I did watching your reaction from the beginning to the eye opening " oh shit" moment. He is incredible check out seven sins the flow change, word play etc. Etc is amazing. Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole dude. Do more Ren. I will be watching!!❤😂😮
When he says the voice you hear when you loosen the noose of the rope, it's not meant to be literal. What he's really saying is that we are all so tough on ourselves and we put ourselves under so much pressure. And that we need to learn how to forgive ourselves and stop giving ourselves so much blame. We are human and times will tough, but we will get through them if we learn to understand that and accept it and just move forward.
Absolutely fire lyrics, cap. I got locked up in a nuthouse at age 19 and this brother explains everything perfectly...a masterpiece, lyrics that make Eminem go 'farrrrrrrk bro' and wordplay that makes Nas say 'no farkin way cuz'....genius, absolute genius.
Dude, Ren is a genius. If you want a banger check out seven sins, hunger , sick boi. Also money game 1,2 and 3. Chalk outlines and Fred again for singing and guitar .
welcome to Ren, you will love his flows with 1990, Genisis, and Power and cry with Freckled Angel. he has wicked bars. I'll sub to watch to watch your journey. hey Brother, check out his backstory with Lyme disease.
Great reaction--and nice to see that you picked up on the "inner battle" right away. I had the same recognition of those voices in my own head when I first heard Hi Ren about a year ago. There are multiple directions you can go when reacting to Ren, from hip-hop (The Hunger, Genesis, Illest of Our Time, Wicked Ways) to storytelling (Money Game 1-3, The Tale of Jenny and Screech full version) to him singing with his band The Big Push (I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip-Hop, Wade in the Water, War Pigs) to collaborations with Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins, Eden Nash. His music shifts quite a bit "from the dark to the light," so it's definitely a rollercoaster ride!
Homie when I heard this for the first time I was thinking WTF is this after listening to it a few times the mother fucker got hella penmenship, then I heard dude could rap ,I listened to his joint "Murderer" yoooo this dude is fucken nice on the mic he definitely a student of the game with a reggae ish vibe , seriously not all his music isn't for everyone but most is definitely for everyone,ya feel me,give homie some more listens you won't regret that.... 🔥 Vid keep grinding the vids out
Love the fact that you have found Ren and what a roller coaster ride you're going to experience So buckle up. Also if you would like to check out other UK rap I have a playlist of all kinds of splendid artists. Much love and respect from The UK.
New sub here. Excellent reaction. Enjoy the journey into the world of Ren. It's a hella wild ride. As for you speaking on your inner struggles, Ren recently dropped a video "One Million Subscribers."" You may want to react to that. I think it will give you a good perspective on fighting through. It will give you peacefulness or solace as well as hope and drive to feeling good about yourself. 💞
Mate you want proper rap Ren Seven sins The hunger Genesis Wicked ways If you want to blown away The tales of jenny and scratch full version Money game 3 Suicide Then work though his catalog he hasn't done a bad tune yet Also loved your reaction
"Im the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope" Thats reference to this being the "hope" or good side of of our personality. The "voice" that tells people to keep on, even when they feel like giving up or taking their own life.
Welcome to the RENegades 😁 I've got a playlist of Hi Ren reactions & we recently celebrated the 1000th video. Your reaction is currently #1086 but there may be more that came before.
"the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope" He's saying that for some, his music, his voice, is the reason someone may have changed their mind about ending their own life. I was extremely depressed 7 years ago and thought constantly about taking my life, and then I heard a song by a group (BTS) and it made me want to try and live. Music, art, can do that. When you're at your lowest it can call out to you. I'm sure Rens music has saved many, because he raps/sings about his own internal struggles with depression. Thank God for artists like Ren and BTS
Don't give up. I think he blew up so much because so many people can relate to what he's saying and what you're feeling. When he says 'Some people know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope' he means that someone who is ready to end it all hears that hopeful voice and realizes they do have something to live for. And that voice is every bit as powerful, if not more powerful, than the voice telling us to give up.
I absolutely love when people first hear ren on this song because it’s how I found him. And trust me if you watch others react to this song you not only support other reactors… you find out WE are not alone. This community right here. We have asshats in our community but far and away it is a welcoming supportive group. True artist- changed how I understand and interact with the world. If you go down this rabbit hole it will be a wild ride
Hate multiplies and so does love. I'm so happy to see how you changed negativity in the beginning to positivity in the end. Always stay positive and spread love ❤️ much love to you!
He meant just what said by that line. There's a side of you that's nothing but negative, and there's a side that even in the darkest hour, when you're going to end it all, that speaks up and says no. There's more greatness to come.
Love this vid mate. From the doubt in your eye at the start, like fuck this shit. To the end when your in tune with it. I bet its been mentioned but jenny and screetch by ren
The story of Jenny and screech, the 13 min one Money games part 1,2,3. Other than that. litterally every song of his. Id it hasn't been said. He was performing live in HI Ren. He often performs live. Some of his videos are one take. His covers are bomb. His rap is insane. He has an insane story that has left him bedridden. I mean the dude is fire so like... I bet if you reached out to him, hed do an interview, no kap. Fucker is a poet with his words and we all need to be listening
The Tales of Jenny and Screech (Full Version) Chalk Outlines, featuring Chinchilla How To Be Me, featuring Chinchilla Sick Boi The Hunger Losing It (Fischer rap retake) Illest of Our Time What You Want
Subbed for your Ren journey. He's diverse and really talented. For word play, check out "Illest of Our Time" (a double) or the lyric video for "Seven Sins." My favorites for a good vibe - "Ocean," "Humble," "Power," or "Murderer." If you like fast rap, try "The Hunger" or "Losing It."
Bro you connected to his words like the masses did, don’t feel like you can’t speak aloud of the relatability you feel to his words, I believe from his own explanations that was his intention with this pice of art, to bring people together, make us see we not alone by showing his vulnerability so tangibly. This song has helped SOOO many. 🫶🏼 Subbed. Few songs from you to consider by him - Chalk Outlnes, How to be Me, Wicked Ways, The Hunger, Money Game pt 1,2 &3, His band The Big Push doing liver mashup of I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop ( that’s on The Bog Push channel) and him and Sam Tompkins live doing Stevie Wonder ‘Improvising Around’ or any of their collabs. 💙

@@iwatchuonutube6638 aww thanks! Appreciate you! I’m a little bit passionate (read: obsessed) 🤣 I just like edumacating people on artists I love (I also like making up words as you can tell 😆) 🖤
Well Jesus man yeah that's the list lol good job
@@shelleynull6532 haha thanks 🖤
Bravo!
Here to watch you realise that there is so much more to music than the (music industry) let you believe I'm 62 and this young man has not only changed my mind on how music can make you feel but on life itself😊 uk
Yeah, this blew my mind and had me rethinking life while editing this.
Subbed for more Ren! Enjoyed your react immensely! Welcome to the Reniverse!!! So. Many. Great. Songs.
I've been a Renegade for over a year, he's saved my life.❤❤ to you.
EVERYTHING!!!! Everything Ren! You just found the musical genius of a lifetime……. Watch…. Come to your own conclusion!!! You will see for yourself!
Definitely dropping another Ren Reaction!!!
@ShawnyGang you won't regret it.
Ren THE HUNGER
Ren is an exceptional artist and human being. Subbed to follow your journey into the world of Ren. He and his talented friends who surround him will amaze you at every turn! Enjoy this roller coaster ride. The Renegades will follow! ☮️❤️😎
"Losing It" or "The Hunger" to see this genius rap rap!
You’re not alone. You now have the whole ren army with you. Wait till you see all the support you get.
💯💯
I was directed here from another channel, so.. safe to say that's the truth.
You guys made my day better honestly 💙
If you do the tales of Jenny and screech make sure you do the full version trilogy Jenny screech and finally violet's tale in that order otherwise it won't make sense great reaction btw welcome to the Ren rollercoaster enjoy the ride it amazing ✌️
Ren is on track to become a generational artist. Multi-talented and insanely creative. Plus, he seems like a decent dude, very open with his fans and the reactor community. Have fun exploring.
Ren is FKN awesome
The hunger, genesis or wicked ways. If you want to hear his vocal abilities then i suggest his new one, fred again mash up or chalk outlines
Couldn't agree more. If you're coming from rap, start with genesis or the hunger
"Losing It" also!
i'll throw one in that's a little bit of both, his band, The Big Push - Shot the Sherriff / Road to Zion / Hip Hop, Red suspenders version. But if you wanna be blown away again, check out 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech (official)' [13:31 length]
"The Hunger" is the most rappity-rap, but "Animal Flow" is also dope af. Love them both.
Check out his song called "Genesis". Or if you wanna get on that xxxtention vibe check out Rens live version of the song "For Joe"
Ren was bitten by a tic which caused him Lyme disease. He was misdiagnosed for years. He is finally getting the right treatment.
Ren does all his own work. Makes all his own beats, and directs all his videos. Do Sick Bio next to get a better understanding of him
Yeah, I might need to react to an interview with him
@ShawnyGang yup! I suggest the Knox Hill or Black Pegasus interviews. Have fun on your REN journey! I'll be here for every step! ❤
@@ShawnyGangwatch animal flow. REN is a genius. His videos are a work out art. Animal flow is filmed in 1 shot. No cuts.
Blew me away too bro! Nice respect you had for the video. Thx for your reaction!
My pleasure
The oohs are the haunting. Much ❤Sue
Ren does speak to so many people. I think it's because it's authentic and covers so much emotional content in a super engaging and unique way.
Ren has been to hell and back and knows just how it feels. Sick Boi was my 2nd song, then Hold On.
Subbed for more Ren. Great reaction.
Nice reaction. Subbed. I'd add Genisis and Seven SIns. He's got a large catalog. You really can't go wrong.
I want to see you react to more REN! Sick Boi or Hunger or Seven Sins
The Hunger, Money Game 3, 'I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop' with his band The Big Push. That's just to start you out, lol.
Dude, Ren is a genius. If you want a banger check out seven sins, hunger , sick boi. Also money game 1,2 and 3.
Chalk outlines and Fred again for singing and guitar .
"Losing It" !
Subbed for your Ren journey. I suggest Sick Boi next x
Ive subbed awhile back, but im happy for you to find Ren. I suggest The Hunger, Losing It, or Chalk Outlines(Live).
Love to see returning viewers and I might drop another REN video this week.
@ShawnyGang drop one everyday and watch your subs sky rocket! ❤
Ren comes to you when you need him ;) and those of us who follow him do our best tp boost others too... subscribing ;)
Enjoy the Ren Rabbit hole ;)
welcome to Ren, you will love his flows with 1990, Genisis, and Power and cry with Freckled Angel. he has wicked bars. I'll sub to watch to watch your journey. hey Brother, check out his backstory with Lyme disease.
Great reaction, it seemed to hit home. Just pick a Ren tune, anyone will do. Subbed for the ride.
Awesome thank you!
Animal Flow !!! Oceans !!! Humble !!
Ren was bed ridden for years enduring pain and sickness
Ren is awesome, king of one takes and change ups, covers all genres, sometimes in one song. Does his own beats and independent
I think you're really going to like "Sick Boi" :)
🔥 Vid keep grinding the vids out
You’d like illest of our time by ren, you get about 10 different rap flows
Mate you want proper rap
Ren
Seven sins
The hunger
Genesis
Wicked ways
If you want to blown away
The tales of jenny and scratch full version
Money game 3
Suicide
Then work though his catalog he hasn't done a bad tune yet
Also loved your reaction
Actually working on one of these songs now😭💯
Yo you hilarious dog hahaha 😅 he aight he's just an extremely creative artist hahaha
"Im the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope"
Thats reference to this being the "hope" or good side of of our personality. The "voice" that tells people to keep on, even when they feel like giving up or taking their own life.
Welcome to the RENegades 😁 I've got a playlist of Hi Ren reactions & we recently celebrated the 1000th video. Your reaction is currently #1086 but there may be more that came before.
Sick Boi is a great second video from Ren. It's got more of his story in it.
Enjoy the ride man - well done for listening to something probably way outside your comfort zone. He is a stunning artist!!
Check out Sick Boi next, its the natural follow up to Hi Ren.
If you're going to react to ren, you're gonna get subs. We come with love in numbers. I think we all going through it. You're not alone at all.
Subscribed for more REN!
Great reaction bro…
Having this reaction means you’re never alone my brother…
Welcome to the ren journey 🇬🇧👍🏼
Welcome aboard.
Great reaction to a true GENIUS
Looking forward to seeing your next one.
Liked & subscribed in anticipation of you reacting to more Ren
Cheers pal 👍🍻
Welcome to the renegades, Ren has so much music with messages. You, he and so many of us struggle with that dark voice within us. You are not alone.
Love Music pt. 3. You wanna have fun? It’ll blow your mind man.
You gave Ren a chance. I did too. Subbed and here for ya my dude!
He meant just what said by that line. There's a side of you that's nothing but negative, and there's a side that even in the darkest hour, when you're going to end it all, that speaks up and says no. There's more greatness to come.
Enjoy the ride
Man man man. That was unreal. Hits me every time!!
Is your heat not working? You need assistance?
Yeah come fix it
Ren - what you want. That's a great one with more old school vibes
Not a dress...hospital gown.
Yeah, I realized that after a while. That was literally my first time listening to him.
@@ShawnyGang😂😂😂
The natutal follow-up to this is Sick Boi before expanding your Ren horizons.
Welcome to the Renegades 🎉 Looking forward to your journey down the rabbit hole 🐰🕳️🖤
Sick Boi , Genesis, Animal Flow... so, so many to choose from.
GENESIS
“Whatcha mean by that?” Well I think it exactly what he says 😂
Thank I’m not the only one feeling this I appreciate it
Love this vid mate. From the doubt in your eye at the start, like fuck this shit. To the end when your in tune with it. I bet its been mentioned but jenny and screetch by ren
I think a song that will really see Ren different is The Hunger. That song will make you shit yourself it's so good.
Really enjoyed your reaction here! Grab any Ren song and try it. I’d suggest his song Power though.
Hey Dude, welcome to the community! We can help you out?
Sick Boi is the logical next video by Ren to watch? It's kinda Hi Ren part 2.
He is perfect keep listening❤
The Tales of Jenny and Screech (Full Version)
Chalk Outlines, featuring Chinchilla
How To Be Me, featuring Chinchilla
Sick Boi
The Hunger
Losing It (Fischer rap retake)
Illest of Our Time
What You Want
❤
Subbed for your Ren journey. He's diverse and really talented. For word play, check out "Illest of Our Time" (a double) or the lyric video for "Seven Sins." My favorites for a good vibe - "Ocean," "Humble," "Power," or "Murderer." If you like fast rap, try "The Hunger" or "Losing It."
Subbed bro, hope the channel does great
Bro you connected to his words like the masses did, don’t feel like you can’t speak aloud of the relatability you feel to his words, I believe from his own explanations that was his intention with this pice of art, to bring people together, make us see we not alone by showing his vulnerability so tangibly. 💙
❤
Just for an emotional break check out some of this bangers. Dude can rap. Check out Losing It, Illest of Our Time, Murderer, Animal Flow, etc.
What is that haircut??? You're reacting to a music vid and tripping on his cut?
Great reaction 🔥
He means the voice you hear when you decide not to hang your self.
@2:00 (all: just stfu and watch this)... @2:30 Shawny's stance = "impress me".. @3:30 , a slap of recognition.. @4:00 bopin.. glad to see the respect hit, share the love, he's worth it.. "Jenny & Screech" man: i beg you to watch this guy tell a tale..
