Thank you! I actually don't like the cells that are created from torching, since I am not using silicone the cells tend to be small and don't look well to me. I prefer the organic cells that are created on their own.
Stunning results! I'm finding that pouring onto 'naked' wood raises the grain a taste once the paint has dried. I tried thicker paint and got fine cracks instead. Has this happened to you?
That has not happened to me with the raised wood grain. You could try priming it first. I have had issues with cracking though, tends to happen when the paint is too thick. I notice mine has a bigger chance of cracking during the winter when we have the heat kicking on frequently and the paint isn't drying evenly because of the temp changes.
@@amandasdesignsofficial I've seen Russian painters coat raw wood with a farina-water mix, worked well in, dried and given 3 coats. Then they brush off the residue. I might give that a go and report back.
Hi Kathryn, I tend to pick 2-3 colors. Sometimes if I use more than that things get too muddy. But you can pick and choose as many colors as you want to try out in your own art.
Amanda so lovely to hear you talking and telling us your thought processes - thank you. Love the second one but both are beautiful :)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed :)

Gorgeous pours Amanda! I love watching you move the paint with your blow dryer! 🥰

Awesome both are so pretty. I am going to try this by thinning my paints down. I always make mine too thick 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Do you normally choose 2 colors of the spit?

@@amandasdesignsofficial 👍
I didn't hear you mention, was your color just straight unicorn spit, paint, or any additives?? It's gorgeous
I mixed it with Floetrol!
Beautiful!!! Can you mix the unicorn spit into your acrylic paint???
Thank you! I believe you could, I just haven't done that.
@@amandasdesignsofficial Thanks Amanda....i have a few bottles so will give it a try😃
Do you have to use a pouring product? Or is there a DIY product I can make
I mainly use Floetrol if I want cells, but other mediums if I don't. Some people just use water and paint though.
What did you add to get the cells?
Just some floetrol with the Unicorn spit.
How do you hang the wooden round?
I add sawtooth hangers to the back: amzn.to/3ASyhXY
Wonder what Unicorn sneeze looks like? Or better yet... uhhh, never mind.
lol
