Lyrics: I've told you once I've told you a thousand times No regrets and no remorse No 4 am whiskey soaked wisdom or bloody knuckled politics Do I regret and not a single moment will I ever repent You may say I have lost to a better man This may be true I cannot protest or lie Yet maybe one who did not dare to be wrong or even to be right To those who did not dare to sing out of tune Or sing a different song To march to the beat of a different drum and speak the truths others fear Just give me one thing to live or die for So here's to comrades near and far So raise a glass, raise your voices Years have passed some would say They have not been kind Yet these are the scars of war And we remain yet we stand Bloodied yet unbowed What is the standard with which I bear What flag do we fly when marching to war Only a nation that dare not speak its name Nor can ever shed its pain So here's to comrades near and far Raise a glass, raise hell Years have passed closer to the grave But this is the song we chose to sing To the bitter end, to the end
Fantastic band, one of the best voices/leadsingers in the genre if you ask me. Also the instrumentation on this song is brilliant, great lyrics also. its dark, its atmospheric and still it comes later on with huge power in it. this song has everything, one of the best primoridal songs so far.... when i listen to this i even like to start singin it wich i usually try to avoid.
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul. Invictus BY WILLIAM ERNEST HENLEY
My dreams came true! This song was played by Primordial live @ Bang Your Head festival!!! The best gig of the festival. Ever since this little gem played opening for Immortal I'm a huge fan. Different, challenging.....a breath of fresh air!
_So here's to comrades near and far_ _So raise a glass, raise your voices_ _Years have passed, between us some would say_ _And they have not been kind_ _Yet these are the scars of war_ _And we remain yet we stand_ _Bloodied yet unbowed_ _We are_ _We are bloodied, yet unbowed_ Raise a glass, comrades. 🍻
If this is my Journey End Then cast me to the pyre And if all that remains Is a blackened heart And the stench of death Then know my spell is cast And sing my song With pride once more
Seen them live at rockstadt extreme fest, two days ago. Fucking superb and amazing is just too less to describe these guys. Alan is a magnificent musician and artist and you can see this best when he is on stage. Also, seeing them live, you can tell that they are more than brothers. They communicate through gestures in a manner beyond belief, it is like telling a story. One more thing, they seem pretty damn fucking proud that they are Irish. =D Tl;dr - Had goosebumps all the concert.
sometimes youtube bugs. if they put this video in a playlist, it could happen that it stated as ''just uploaded'' to subsribers. thats why the video seems a bit out of date :P

Lyrics:
I've told you once I've told you a thousand times
No regrets and no remorse
No 4 am whiskey soaked wisdom or bloody
knuckled politics
Do I regret and not a single moment will I ever repent
You may say I have lost to a better man
This may be true I cannot protest or lie
Yet maybe one who did not dare to be wrong or
even to be right
To those who did not dare to sing out of tune
Or sing a different song
To march to the beat of a different drum and speak
the truths others fear
Just give me one thing to live or die for
So here's to comrades near and far
So raise a glass, raise your voices
Years have passed some would say
They have not been kind
Yet these are the scars of war
And we remain yet we stand
Bloodied yet unbowed
What is the standard with which I bear
What flag do we fly when marching to war
Only a nation that dare not speak its name
Nor can ever shed its pain
So here's to comrades near and far
Raise a glass, raise hell
Years have passed closer to the grave
But this is the song we chose to sing
To the bitter end, to the end
The power and beauty of Primordial is beyond my comprehension. This shit is amazing.
One of the most emotional songs ever.
For the fallen!
that lyric....man, I am wordless, simply fantastic, I can glimpse the sentiment behind the words sung.....Impressive
their lyrics are miles ahead of most bands
Just Primordial, nothing new to them.
How can such music be so great! I'm dying!

primordial moves me, especially this song. being drunk alone and singing standing in the living room. give me one thing to live or die for !
i love this song, the power in the voice leave me speechless.
Fantastic song.
Especially the lyrics and the tormented voice of Nemetheanga, amazing work.

This song fucking sings to me on a deeper level. Shit.
Can we please disuss the following thesis: This song is Averill's magnum opus in terms of lyrics, emotions, composition and significance.
Christmas Day, on the roof of 20 Avon Street. See you there Trevor.
No tabs available?! God dammit!!! i need tabs
Still need them? Working on them right now!
The end reminds me of “Valhalla” from Bathory’s “Hammerheart” album.

I doubt a tab could capture how to play a song like this.
