I am 28 mins into this video… and Jenn I feel so bad for u/Tim! I know- WHOLEHEARTEDLY- u always DO the best u can! Listen PEOPLE- Jenn and Tim are raising a preschooler and a toddler! Give them a FLIPPING break!! And if “YOU” had kids … then shame on you! They are doing what’s best for THEIR family! I don’t think the camera lighting is too yellow. I thought you all looked very clear in the home vlog, it made everyone’s skin look great.
I would agree that an Alaskan cruise should wait until Oliver is about 5. Kids and Parents will both love an Alaskan cruise - especially on a Disney ship, but you want to be able to do some excursions in Alaska. Plus Alaska is very expensive so you want to get the most for the trip.
The dining plan can work for some but I don’t like feeling like I have to order the most expensive food & snacks to make my money. I also don’t really drink soda so the refill mugs are a loss on me. It’s easier to just put the money on a gift card so that way it’s pre paid but not trapped in a loss.

I agree with it being way hotter than normal. I was just at Disney and Seaworld, and it was insane. I was melting, and I've always lived in FL and South Texas.
Hi guys! I think with lightning being such a issue and Tim is super handy you could easily change out your light fixtures
We did a week in AKL and a week SSR and had the QS dining plan, but because they were separate bookings we got 2 lots of cups, by the time we were in SSR we had 8 cups on the go 😂 x

Used full service dining plan for four adults twice with no alcohol and saved tons. We just like to eat, I guess. :)
If you had gotten the alcoholic drinks and had eaten more at Disney Springs or for example, you can get a $20 platter on the dining plan. I think y’all would’ve come out way better.

I’ve done the same math as you with the dining plan 😂 In the UK we’ve had the free dining plan pushed at us for a while now (apart from the last few years) so we’ve definitely decided it’s only worth it if it’s free. I doubt I’ll ever buy it as you just lose money.
We had free gift cards/credits when there was no plan and that worked out the best savings-wise so I hope that comes back!

I don't really care about saving money on the dining plan. I'm more so excited I've already paid for all my food and I don't have to worry about it. I can eat whatever

I can't deal with the heat and humidity either. It was so hot this summer. And I lice in new york state and it was brutal. 😢 I had such a hard time sleeping. So yeah hate that type of weather .

I just got back from an Alaskan cruise. You are probably talking about Skagway if not, maybe Ketchikan! I know you love Disney cruises. But can I make a suggestion. Princess has an amazing trip to Alaska. You don’t just want to do a cruise. You need to do a land tour too! I have been to Alaska three times. You need to do the cruise and the land! You probably wanna wait until the boys are like maybe five and eight. They are a little young yet.
Back in 2006 the regular dining plan was $35 for adults and $10 for kids. I don’t think it included the refillable mug. We did spend less on the dining plan than we actually ate but it was too much food for us.
I miss the old podcasts the two of you used to do where you talked about funny off-the- cuff subjects. I used to like to rewatch them, but can't find them anymore.😢

We stayed at endless summer for 3 nights and it was HORRIBLE. Our neighbors had a toddler who screamed until 3am. Every. Single. Night. We could hear their tv, and all of their conversations. The walls are so thin. They food was mediocre cafeteria food as well. Worst honeymoon ever. :(

I like the idea of the dining plan, but in practice it's priced at a point where it takes a lot of work to make it make sense financially. That's why, after the last time I used it, I decided to switch to the gift card method. You take the cost of the dining plan and put it on gift cards and use them for your food. You don't have the limitations and can feel good ordering what you want. At the end of the trip, you're very likely to end up with extra funds on the gift cards you can use on something else.
What’s your plan for going to Halloween horror nights at Busch gardens or at universal studios will u take Jackson to it this year

The dining plan has never been worth it for my family and I don’t think it works for most families. Even when it’s free b/c you’re forced into buying hopper tickets that most families also don’t utilize. If you are needing the hopper tickets and get it free then that’s the only time I can see it saving you $. Even when we’ve spent the same amount of $ I’d rather have broken it up differently and spent the $ however I’d want. Also a friend who got the qs plan even though I’d warned her not to had a ton of trouble using it. She has a 10yr old that wanted to eat off the children’s menu and in 2 parks they would not allow her to choose children’s items. So they ended up having to go back to HS every day b/c that’s the only place her child was allowed to eat off the kids menu. Which I was shocked since it wasn’t a child wanting to eat off the adult menu. That I could understand but an adult eating off the cheaper child’s menu shouldn’t have been an issue, but it was. I think they went in March 2024.
It is Ketchikan and it has really nice house and also Skagway. I lone Alaska . I have been 2 times and would like to go a third time

Replay my birthday was last Tuesday
We are doing a split stay next week, 5 nights at one resort and 5 at another. We got the table service dining plan for the second half of the trip. I’m going to be very interested to see if we lose money, break even or got a deal! We tried to schedule our character meals and buffets for when we have the dining plan to try make it worth it! I wish they had an option that was a bit cheaper that didn’t include alcohol. When it’s 100 degrees drinking alcohol isn’t appealing!
I love the dining plan!! To me it really works the best if you’re in the parks all day. To me it’s not for just a resort stay.

The dining plan has worked really well for us. But we use the snack for breakfast because 3 full meals are too much for us in the FL heat. Also, we use the cup multiple times on our non-park days.

Why did you buy sit down meals which you paid out of pocket for? If you had not done that then you would not have had meals left over. One of Jackson's leftover meal credits could have been used for Oliver. The dining plsn is not for us either, especially the quick service one becaus we prefer sit downs also. We did the deluxe one and it was too much food and time out if our day.
