I started the vid expecting a song about suffocating but instead I got to hear something familiar which I like better a cult to follow did a grand job on this song in my opinion.
Oh haven't heard that song in a while, cult to follow is underrated, but moving on to the amv itself. The voice overs were an amazing addition to it. Really gave it a spark. Plus this wouldn't be complete without a comment on the theme. RWBY doesn't have the best racism depiction, but you made it shine. The recent events, as well a lot of past ones are here to stay and keep a clear imagine in our heads about the people ruling us. Human rights shouldn't be a taboo. #BLM
This song has a special place in my heart, since I used it in one of the first AMVs I put a lot of effort into. This AMV was so great, terrific work Apo! :)
holy wooow :O I'm so weak for the amazing masked transitions at 3.27 and forward. superb work as always, and the voiceover was wonderfully cut to make that segment in the middle.

The storyline of the Faunus the most relatable to me, being a man of color. So, this post both bought me to tears and proud to know you! CRITIQUE (since you've asked for more) The black and white gave an ominous feeling to it, which is good for most of the song, but bringing back the color for key moments (like "Remember love, remember hate") would bring the video to life more and emphasize a stronger message In the beginning when flashed blackness to the rhythm of the drums was perfect, would have liked to seen that more

Surprised this came out in 2011, serious 00's edge rock vibe. I love it. I'm really glad this wasn't another Adam-centric song. It's not that I've gotten sick of him; it's just that he would be the EASY choice for an angry, 'rage against the machine' sort of video. I'm glad you don't go the obvious route. Arguably Ilia and Blake are more of the stars than Adam is. But the video doesn't feel so sectioned off, with whole thirds or quarters dedicated to just one character. It all swirls together pretty well. Sheer curiosity, why call this video "Suffocate" instead of the full song title? Does a shorter title just help with a video getting traction on TH-cam?
I chose to call it Suffocate because this video is in echo with the current events in America. Here's why I showed Velvet/Ilia/Adam (for the most parts) to show the different racism they went through and that they shouldn't let terrible people dictate and threaten their lives because they are Faunus.
