Mystery solved. Start with cold heavily salted water and add eggs, then turn on the heat to maximum. Bring to a boil and continue for ten minutes. Drain and run under cold water briefly. The egg shells will peel easily and there will be no black ring between the yolk and the white of the egg. As far as taste goes, the fresher the egg the better. If you can find eggs when raw have a bright orange yolk, those are fresh eggs.

It's a Negroni...made originally with Aperol, not Campari, and named for the Countess Negroni, I believe.

Seven minutes after they start boiling, and they come out perfect. It's how my momma always does it. And they're great. Also, unless you're gonna rush in the shower most females ain't gonna take just 13 minutes lmao. I take at least 15-20 and I know females that take an hour to two hours.
