Even if you don't want to vote do not call absent at the voting centre on election day. Go there and insert your blank voting slip in the box yourself. In the heat of the moment, often ID checks are bypassed and anybody can have access to anybody's voting slip and vote for the parties they wish on your behalf. Current political parties are not above stooping to such low level tactics.

I have to honestly say people around the world do not really understand what's going on in our country. SAJ has fought even longer for the workers who believe in the hope that one day we shall overcome. A country is all about its people who works hand in hand to make its democracy even better. Mauritius is already strong and we need leaders like SAJ who believe in a politics of hope and not in a politics of cynicism.
