I think that, being a competition oriented gun, the sights are meant to be used for a 6 o'clock aim. That's maybe why you are getting slightly high groups
The only Walther product that I have is a military/police contract P1 from the 60s and that is a damn fine service gun in terms of build quality. I can't imagine what this one would feel like.
I am in full agreement im building a co2 version but started with the compact in black getting walnut grips and a rail for a tiiiiiny red dot I found and the 6inch barrel wich will be chrome and im getting a set of stainless steel screws for it I may get the iron sights too but the rail and red dot is cheaper but it'll look all two tone and stunning

For target shooting get a fas 600 or an air arms Alfa for fun gunning get any old co2 BB gun made by umarex itl last forever and there all Walther licenced great quality air guns they even make one of these 👍
Thats a nice gun, i agree the P88 is the best gun walther made, not that i dont like the p99 and the new ones (except the p22 which is GARBAGE). The p88 almost reminds me of the ruger p89 9mm, I still love the ruger p89, cant break them and reliability is on par with any glock.
fyi, if you are having trouble with your P22, the P22 is still under lifetime warranty- send it in for free. Or, the ammo. The P22 is picky with ammo. You need 40 and HV (high velocity). The P22 should NOT be picky, but it is. When the P22 is working its best, its a lot of fun.

If you get the BERSA TPR frame/slide and the Crvena Zastava EZ9 internal/controls, you essentially get a modernized P88.
i have two complaints.
1 no longer in production
2 have nothing else to complain about

it's shooting high -- because you need to lock your wrist down more with that grip angle.
