Email Campaigns vs Email Templates what is the difference in HighLevel | GHL | GoHighLevel

Email Campaigns are marketing emails which are pre-written and then sent at a particular time to a particular Smart List in effect at that time. The analytics available for email campaigns are superior to analytics for individual emails sent from the Conversations tab (either to a particular contact or to a Smart List as a Bulk Action). Also, the re-send to unopened function is available for emails sent as an Email Campaign.
The other automated way to send emails is as a Workflow action. That email can be written using Email Templates or directly in the Send Email workflow action editor. If written in the Send Email editor it can only be used in that place in that workflow. If written in the Email Templates editor the email can be used not only in multiple workflows but also in the Conversations tab. But like Bulk Action or individual send emails, the analytics available on Templates are less robust than Email Campaigns and re-send to unopened is not available.
Why Email Campaigns (which are a single email sent as a marketing message) are called campaigns is entirely incomprehensible to me. I just accept that this is the reality of the email marketing industry. They are not a series of actions leading to an outcome. They are a single action.
