My Duet Dryer gave an F1 code now and again. I would power off and on, then it would work, kinda. I learned the F1 is a pretty generic code for way too many issues. It is useless as a diagnostic. My dryer would stop after a minute or three. I would press cancel and start a dozen times, then it would work again for a few minutes. It took 5 - 8 starts and stops to finish a load. Now and again, it would only take one or two. OEM control boards are pricey, like $450. Used are $120, but a refurbished one is about $200. I went with that option and changed it out in 20 minutes, and all works well. Thank you for the video!!!!
Thank you so much for your detailed tutorial. I was able to fix my dryer without calling a repairman. I'm just stoked I did it myself and my partner is beyond impressed. Thanks again!
My dryer for a couple months has been randomly beeping during the cycle. The other day the front panel was dead and would not respond. After flipping the breaker for about 10 minutes it came back to life. Today it will not come on at all. Would you suspect the front control panel or the control board on the side above the drum?
Steve! how the hell did you do that cut/edit at 2:43 where you disappear with the junked control board and reappear with the new board too quickly for a mortal human?
I ordered a new control board and it came with a sticker that read: "Static sensitive components. Special handling required". no such warning on the purchasing end. Do I need a bunny suit?
I can't get my red and black wires out of the old board (the ones you said are in a relay). They don't look like they are in a nice little beige housing like you have but they seem directly plugged into the black box on the board. Thoughts? ty
Fantastic! My replacement board had front edge plus on top while old ones was edge entry but worked fine. Old board may have burned out because drum seems to be meeting some resistance. Sometimes takes a short time to start spinning and then sounds like there is something causing it to not spin easily
My board actually melted and I need to replace one of the wires as well as the board. If i count from front to back it is the fourth wire you removed or the first at the back of board. It has light blue wires and a light blue connector. Can the connector be bought separately or is a whole new harness required?? One of the prongs on the board melted and fused to the connector. Thanks for any help or advice you have
The terminals inside of the plastic connector are standard .25 inch female spade terminals. Although the connector is not available from the manufacturer, you could possibly replace just the terminal and fit it into the connector housing. Those wires are the line voltage for the motor winding.

Great Tutorial! Thanks!! My Original part reads P/N W10111606 REV C. What I find for sale are REV E. Do you know what the difference is?
I see this video is pretty old. Hopefully somebody still messages on it. Is this for a code F1?
Will this fix a flasing control panel with no codes?
