  • The Nikon D850 truly is a masterpiece of a DSLR. I love using it for so many different types of photography, but I find the D850 really shines in bird and wildlife. I spend a magic day out with the Nikon doing some bird photography at Toorbul in Queensland, Australia photographing shoreline birds. Hope you enjoy.

    So much wildlife on that beach, fascinating blue soldier crabs. The low flying pelican reminded me of the Millennium Falcon flying low over Tatooine.

      Thanks Russ, and great analogy with the Falcon on Tatooine, yes it was almost scraping its belly across the mud / sand. Have a great weekend 👍🙏📸

This time I bought my waders that I had purchased for Iceland and Scotland. Bit of overkill, but at least I was dry. Have a great week mate 👍🙏📸

    Great video as always my friend! I know this one was supposed to be about birds but I found myself enthralled by those soldier crabs I have to admit ;) I can especially relate to that mud as well. I almost lost a pair of boots on one of my river excursions near the house. My boots just sunk right into the muck - lol. Cheers!

    Adrian, does the CFE-b go into the xqd slot? I am still using the usd card in my d850. and what is the advantage if you dont mind me asking. I am a self taught/ learning hobbyist. Thanks. Great pics! love the “Dance”

    • @adrianalfordphotography
      @adrianalfordphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Diana thanks for watching. Yes the CFE-B goes into the XQD card slot on the D850. If you google advantages of XQD/CFE-B cards vs SD cards you'll see a lot of info on the net. If you're having no issues with your SD card and it's doing the job for you, then that's great. However, having 2 cards in your camera gives you peace of mind that if one card fails (by chance) at least you have your valuable photos safely stored on the other card. This is a must for wedding, portrait or event photographers.

      I made it to Toorbul, had a great morning. I’ll send you a link to the images when
      I get them processed. I used a Z9 with the 500 PF with a 1.4 Teleconverter for a number of the shots. A lot of the birds were a good distance from the closest vantage point made it difficult to get in close even at 700mm.

I am writing this message to ask you about the white caps of the objective lens with the filter holder ring.
