It's amazing that in so many things, God doesn't want us to do it alone, and God doesn't do certain things for us making us like the lazy, but he wants to partner with us in our labor!

Thank you for this word in season! I have been beaten up for 10 years as Pastor at one church. I was losing my sight of who Builds and watches. It is the Lord who builds and the Lord who watches. I can lay my head on my pillow now since sleep has disappeared from my life in the last several months

stumbled upon this unexpectedly... amazing depth. Surely only God opens our heart and eyes to this truth - Praise the LORD for his grace and great love to reveal these things to us. Thanks DG

Thank you Abba Father for creating, building and protecting. Thank you that we can do that in union with you. Thank you that we can trust and rest and just give everything over to you!

This blessed this tired mom tremendously! Can't wait for part 2, as I can easily see the correlation between "anxiously toiling" in creating and protecting with... child-rearing. ;) (And the hope of sleep! Praise the Lord!)

the reason to take his yoke - " For I am gentle and humble in heart , and you will find rest for your souls. Amazing that the one who made us , saved us , redeemed us , is so humble and gentle to us as a shepherd with his lambs , but his protection of us is mighty . It has "teeth" - lion's teeth.

Heavenly father, in agreement with this message I bind the message of psalm 127:1-2 the Lord almigthy will build the house in my life and sleep will come from God almigthy! Thank you Lord, loosening all sleep that does not come from God almigthy upon no return in my life, in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

You write so beautifully with a mouse pad if that's how you control the cursor. Either way, it's still beautiful to watch your writing.

What clarity in understanding these scriptures! So much insight and wisdom in teaching... I love the ability used to underline, circle and annotate for all to see. This would be a wonderful method to use within a bible study! What software do you use to annotate then capture for all to see?

This is to all denominations: If Psalm 127:1 and/or Matthew 7:24-27 is your Scripture(s) of the Day, the beloved one verse hymn, "God's Word Is Our Great Heritage," is a good hymn to compliment these Scriptures.

The only person i know who must have slept without anxiety is Peter in imprisonment.
Jesus as well when He was sleeping in the boat.

I have recurring insomnia constantly. I also struggle with the phenomena of impeccably timed disturbances that will often jolt me awake at the very moment I’m falling asleep and need it most... and this will happen over and over. Furthermore, according to Piper’s theology (and mine)... even the most unremarkable occurrence is ultimately affected by the sovereign will of God. However, I also know I’ve been saved and redeemed. So, how do I reconcile these two? I feel sometimes as if I’m NOT “beloved” because He seems quite reluctant to give me sleep (and even when I do sleep I often have very nightmarish dreams)... This makes me angry at Him sometimes. These are very raw, unwanted feelings but I’m being honest about them. Prayers please and any helpful comments are welcomed.

Andrew M you’re dealing with spiritual war fare. When you wake up in the middle the night say the Lord’s prayer aloud. Try to pray at least 3 times a day at consistent times. Also, join your church home’s prayer line if there is one. You should also be praying and fasting often, I’d say fast 1-3 days per month. Another thing to do is to read Psalm 91 before you go to bed and before you leave the house. And because we are spirits with a body, take care of your body by forming a healthy habit of being in bed, after prayer, at a consistent time every night. I’ll be praying for you brother

I hope you’ve been resting better brother. Just survived a crazy season of sleep anxiety myself. Every time I’d try to fall asleep, I’d hear some weird noise that would jolt me awake or some weird thing would happen with my breathing that would wake me too.
As I get out of this horrible season in my life, I can confirm almost confidently that it is indeed spiritual. The devil loves to attack in ways he can then turn around and be like “well if God this, then why is that happening to you?”
Brother, God wants you to rest. He wants me to rest. One thing I’ve learned through this is that He wants our peace and sleep to be founded on Him. Because He is an unshakable foundation. And because of that, so will our sleep and peace be unshakable.
I can’t fully grasp still why He allowed this to happen, even with all these answers I have yet to express here, but I can certainly tell you it grew my relationship and faith in Him tremendously.
He literally invented sleep brother. He made the SABBATH A COMMAND. And not only did He deliver me, He restored all that those things stole from me. To this day the enemy tried to do certain things to provoke those feelings to rise again, but all I do is authoritatively rebuke it and go to sleep. He wants you to REST.
