Dark Matter is the first no-skipper album I've heard in years. Eddie sounds amazing, Jeff gets to shine, Matt is playing at his best. I love it.

I had low expectations after Gigaton but I'm absolutely in love with this album. I have no idea how they got back in such awesome form but they're back! 🤘
How did Eddie pull of the vocal delivery in Waiting For Stevie at this age?? Shockingly good.

Wow. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning but this record is growing on me, man. Wreckage is my favorite song so far, it kinda has this daughter vibe at the beginning and then it parts ways and becomes its own essence. Other highlights are Scared of Fear with its sappy punkish vibe, Won't Tell is a funny popish song that doesn't sound anywhere near Pearl Jam though it is catchy and I love it. Waiting for Stevie is another keeper. I can't help but loving Running, it has a more punk vibe than grunge, but a well produced punk song which has the Pearl Jam spirit in it just like Save You or whipping. Something special is just that, something special, kinda happy and encouraging upbeat song that grows on you. Finally I have to give a shoutout to Got to Give which may remind you any alternative 90s band like Gin Blossoms but again, the way Pearl Jam delivers in this record is just awesome. Best PJ material in more than a decade I would say.

It's very Tom Petty, and I really like it.

I was at the Pearl Jam concert 2 nights ago and Eddie pulled out a guitar Tom Petty gave him 🎸 and he played “Won’t Back Down” I recorded it and posted it to my channel. Along with “Wreckage”

Music is subjective. Pearl Jam is my favorite all time band. Its been a few days and I like most of it. Gigaton, the previous album, in my opinion is much better. After several listens the past few days, the opening track Scared Of Fear is my favorite song on the album. My sister likes this song Wreckage very much. Music is subjective. And remember friends, these guys arent 25 years old anymore. Theyre 60! Wow! Lastly, I think Eddie is the best song writer. Out of all music, and genres, and this and that, I think Eddie is a poet and a fabulous song writer.

I don't understand how someone who enjoys rock music doesn't like albums such as No Code and Yield.

I'm right there with you, man. Yield and No Code are my favorite PJ albums. No Code really spoke to me immediately back when it was released. Yield took a few listens, but it grew on me quickly. Dark Matter immediately hooked me as well. I'm really into it.

I just checked out the album but I honestly hated it. I used to love Pearl Jam but this one is just a wall of sound. They lost the crisp, mystical sound they used to have.

I disagree, then again, it’s a matter of opinion. I never created music that filled stadiums, neither did you, i presume. And nothing i have done in my life comes close to being compared to Pearl Jam…so..even if i dont “like” something. I usually appreciate the fact that it has been created. So should you. Or, even better, go create something that will have a lasting impression on people and come back and show it to us…let’s see if you can maintain your crisp, mystical aura of importance. Cheerio bud!
