Man i remember when Dafran's Pharah was literally a throw pick, he couldn't hit a damn thing and he would basically be falling out of the air if he didn't have his boost. Man's come a long way xD
He still gets them without nano, but realistically speaking, you don't get much value off of regular blades because Genji ulting is essentially him screaming for you to kill him. He's just a flashy player with blades.
Necros is a genji god. The problem is that genji hasn't been meta for over a year. He does get kills, there's no way he'd be getting the amount ults he gets without finishing people, but blades require an entire team to commit at this point in the game's life.
he managed to hit top 30 by one tricking a trash hero. Say what you want about him but that's pretty damn impressive. And yes a lot of those games were without a duo

@@misbahahmed6997 I think players with a hitscan flicking signature can 2-trick between McCree and Widow. We saw plenty of that last season, like Linkzr, Sayaplayer and Carpe. Most teams have a player just to fill that one role. But the projectile player needs to be able to flex between Genji/Pharah/Hanzo/Junk at least. Also I don't even agree Necros would be good on Genji in OWL. His dash mechanics are slick, but I think his shurikens are sketchy compared to any of the top Genjis (EQO, Architect, ShadowBurn) and I don't think his macro play is OWL level at all.

Linkzr & Carpe may not be actual 2-tricks, but they are treated like it in the OWL according to playtime per hero. My only point was that since this it's quite normal to have a "sniper" specialist on your OWL roster, it's about the only acceptable 1-trick position. And until GOATS, Tracer could be in that discussion as well. The very best Tracers are close enough to 1-tricks. SBB and Striker. However now that I think about it, Spree is a Zarya 1-trick and he's very good, was signed and played regularly just for his Zarya long before GOATS even. There are niches for 1-tricks in the league. Also I think you overstate how good they are on those heroes. I doubt any analyst would put Carpe or Linkzr in the discussion of top Tracer or Soldier player, respectively.
