    Not having a discard pile means that removing cards from the deck is the most important thing in the game. Its value is above anything and everything the game throws at you

      oh yeah, definitely. I certainly had no interest in minmaxing the demo "properly" though because then I wouldn't be able to take more than like 2 cards total which sounds... boring.

    Just played the demo. Feels a little clunky that the card you are replacing are going into the deck immediately which has a chance to be redrawn. I also agree that you should be able to re-order the cards using your re-roll points. I would also like to see a way for the character to buy a fourth slot to play a card. As it stands now card removal is key since you start with quiet a few copies of trash cards. Also I would like to see a 'speed up animation' option.

    Thanks for showing us this game Reto. I always like seeing new deck-builders showcased by you. Helps me greatly in deciding what’s worth buying and what isn’t.

    For the reordering mechanic you mentioned, I think it would be really cool if all replace effects still triggered when reordering
    Also, imagine if block only disappeared at the end of your turn if you got hit, that way when the enemy isn't attacking you still have to think about whether to just attack or to block for next turn
    (Could just be a relic too)

    The Bloodstone mechanic seems to be very inspired by Hearthstone's soul shards. (I think they were called soul shards). The Bloodstone generators seem good, but the payoff cards fell subpar. I think it's necessary to add extra effects to the payoff cards to make them worth the effort.

    Not having a discard pile and drawing randomly from your deck feels strange! If they added a discard pile and proper drawing, I also think that would be awesome and feel much better. Otherwise the game looks *very* good!

    So the card you play is more random than typical deck builders with discard pile

      Yup, they thought that the random element of drawing cards wasn't random enough, a bold choice. I love this game and concept though, can't want to see where they take it!

    I loathe when cards are discarded into a random position in the deck. I know card games are steeped in randomness, but being able to endlessly redraw the same couple of cards is just idiotic.
    I would probably still be playing War of Omens if it just had a discard pile like an actual card game.
