Why do people take it against Seulki that she is entertaining Jongwoo when Jinyoung is doing the same thing too and yet nobody take it against him?! He obviously is into Seulki only (to me it is super obvious) and yet he is entertaining Nadine and leading her on as well. Jia did the same in S1 and everyone call her queen for it.
To me there is nothing wrong if Seulki give Jongwoo a chance. Similar to how Soeun gave Hanbin a chance when she took him to Paradise despite her being into Youngjae already and nobody take this against her. Seulki gave Dongwoo a chance and she didn't like him so she rejected him flat out after but she never actually gave Jongwoo a chance yet. Jongwoo obviously won her over when he took care of her when she was sick and to me his constant effort made her feel grateful and guilty at the same that she haven't really given him a fair chance so now she is giving him that chance.
To me it's better to be given 1 chance to give it your all then get rejected after rather than getting rejected without even being given a chance. Like you weren't even worthy of that 1 chance. To me that's worse. So I actually see it as a good thing for Jongwoo to be given this 1 chance so if it doesn't work out he won't have any regret because he tried & gave everything & Seulki did give him a chance but they just don't work. He then can move on easier after that.

Jinyoung isn’t entertaining Nadine. He’s genuinely interested. We saw how he rejected minsu bc he wasn’t into her after getting to know her. So no, jin young is not leaving his options open. He’s curious about Nadine. Seulki however, her relationship with Jongwoo is dependent on how things go between her and jinyoung. Jongwoo is seulki’s second choice. Nadine is someone who genuinely catches jinyoung’s eye a bit. But ofc unlike with Nadine, he got to know seulki more and build some sort of bond with her through their private time. And it’s not like jinyoung’s interest in Nadine came out of nowhere. Their conversations clearly intrigued him from the start. Cant say the same about seulki & Jongwoo.

It seems that people are having a double standard view of SeulKi. Why are boys curious about girls while girls can only be faithful to one person? This is a learning and matching program, everyone has the same opportunity. I think SeulKi is a smart girl, after knowing she has a very good family, all her actions have been explained. She didn't like Dong Woo's strong attacks so she told him completely straight up so as not to go too far. Jin Young is so hot and has a lot of options, he doesn't show too much that he likes SeulKi (until episode 8 airs). So even though SeulKi was curious and concerned about Jin Young, she didn't really feel safe or certain of anything. Then suddenly she read Jong Woo's book and she cried, everyone seemed confused but I believe at that time she cried because of Jong Woo, because of his efforts. So then SeulKi opened up to Jong Woo more and wanted a chance to get to know him. She didn't take advantage of Jong Woo at all, all affection was on his own volition (in the last episode, he confided in everyone Jong Woo said that even if SeulKi went to Paradise Island with the 3rd person, he could be the 4th, so he won't give up). In summary, I just want to affirm that SeulKi is not wrong in this story, that is the confused and confused mood of all the girls if they are in that situation.

Seulki likes Jinyoung and he likes her back but he's entertaining other girls, it would be dumb to put all her eggs in one basket with him just for him to choose someone else. She has options too. If the girls gossiping with Seulki told her Jinyoung said that he only likes her and no one else, if he told her that, she would be all for him only but he didn't, so she's not going to chase him but exercise her options too. Sorry you're not use to girls having a high self-esteem but this is how it should be and it is why she is liked by so many guys cause she doesn't move desperate.

And from what I know (based on watching lots of dating show), saying gung-geum on 1 on 1 chat (not on group talk) is when someone consider the other person as a potential love interest, but we know that JY most certainly doesn't put Nadine (yet) on potential love interest bracket.

How's jinyoung doing the same thing? And how's it double standard. He literally rejects Minsu and shows no interest in Sejeong. He has always been aiming at seulki. Nardine is someone he finds curious about, but its not necessarily romantic. In seulki's case, she knows Jungwoo has been simping since day 1 and out of no where when she feels insecure about jinyoung she decides to give Jungwoo a chance out of the blue.
I want to give Seulki the benefit of doubt as well... It's not impossible to be swooned by a persistent, single-minded wooing.... or maybe she really is just confused. She and Jinyoung should have talked it out. Physical chemistry can only go so far.

@@umishiorieulki never once approach a guy in her life. She said this before. It's the guys approaching her (she said it in her intro). And in the show is was so obvious. She never ones initiated anything with the guys. It was Dongwoo who showed interest with her first so she gave him a chance by going to Paradise although they did not click so she ended up rejecting him. She was interested in Jinyoung but she never actually approach him first. Jinyoung did by picking her for the lunch date. So she chose him for Paradise and they click but after that she never approach him first. When their cooking it was Jinyoung who called Seulki to wash dishes with him then at night it was him again who ask to talk to her solo and even leave all the other girls behind. This proves Seulki is not the type to make the first move hence she will never ask Jinyoung to pick her directly. She would most likely move on. Hence I can see why she was giving Jongwoo a chance now since he is more direct with her. For them to work out, Jinyoung needs to be the one to directly tell her he only likes her. LOL
But they did seem to work out though since Knetz said they are still dating until now and even went to Alaska on vacation together. I don't get how people say Seulki is lying in that 3 shape question game. The 1st question from Nadine to Seulki is 'if there is 1 guy you like or you are considering' she said triangle which means she like more than 1 guy. If she said circle then she like only 1. So I take this as she is considering both Jinyoung & Jongwoo. The 2nd question from Hanbin is a follow up, if one of the guy she refers to in question 1 is in Inferno. And she said yes which is true. She clearly said Triangle in Q1 which means she consider 2 guys and 1 of them is in Inferno. So YES is the correct answer. This is why Youngjae follow it up if she like the guy who are nicer to her (indirectly asking if between her 2 choices if she like Jongwoo more) and she said NO. Means she consider both but still prefer Jinyoung. So how exactly are her answers wrong or leading. To me she was being honest. She seem to be really considering both.

Idk it's just my gut feeling telling me that Seulki's gonna go with Jinyoung even after Jong woo takes her to Paradise. One word from Jinyoung and she'll melt and give in. I think some of the comments that defend Seulki meant, how come what Seulki said to Jongwoo is leading him (hence she's wrong), while Jinyoung literally did the same to Nadine (and it's not a problem)? IMO both of them did nothing wrong as it's the nature of the show to give chance to other people.
And for people saying he is leading Nadine on, maybe because Jinyoung said himself that he would feel the chemistry within 3 seconds, and he chose Seulki and So Eun based on first impression, not Nadine. So it's either he deviated from his own "rule" (which is okay and I think this is the case), or he's just leading Nadine on because he didn't want to hurt her by being honest (but we know that he doesn't mind being honest as the case with Minsu)
love both Nadine and Seul-Ki. What Seul-Ki is doing is still different to what Jinyoung is doing. Seul-Ki is turning to someone she is NOT INTERESTED in (maybe she is trying) because of her negative emotions (jealous, sadness, confusion etc). Jinyoung is turning to someone he is genuinely INTERESTED IN because he is curious. The motivators are different. I totally understand why Seul-Ki does what she does, it is easy to turn to someone who's been there for you all along, showing you attention and affection. But is what she is doing leading to potential harm on that person? Yes. Is it bit inconsiderate? Yes. But JongWoo is happy to take that risk and they both adults so it's their choices.

@@hutingting When Nadine asked Seulki, "is there (only) one person for you?", she answered triangle : means her, Jinyoung, and Jongwoo (ofc her affection to JY is much bigger). Hanbin gave choices of O, X, or triangle. O = only 1 love interest, X = none, triangle = two persons.
When she said triangle I think she's honest, as she answered the follow up questions
- is the person you're interested in is in inferno : YES, indicating to JW. For me it's not misleading because Habin's question only asked for 1 condition, and didn't cover both options based on her answer (triangle).
- You'll be drawn to the person who's nice to you? And she answered NO. Had she wanted to lead/bait/manipulate JW (if the 'triangle' answer meant to lead him), she wouldn't said NO that firmly, instead say something like 'maybe/could be'.
Why she 'closed the door' for JW's approach (being nice), if she wanted to lead him even tho she has 0 interest on him? IMO that means she has a bit interest towards Jongwoo, and appreciate his effort, thus gave him a chance.

Ikr, I don't understand which part is showing Seulki as evil? She didn't plot any game for other girls to win Jinyoung. Imo Minsu's action to interrupt Nadine & Jinyoung talk was more "rude" / fierce than any action Seulki did in this episode.
It's possible she has a little bit affection towards JW after all his efforts, it's not like she has 0% affection to JW and 100% to JY.
Also everytime other girls/guys mentioned Jinyoung (which ofc would make her jealous), she always reacted with a smile on her face (even tho maybe it's a nervous smile), but she never makes weird/upset "jealous" faces.

I personally don't like it because, for what we have seen, SK clearly likes JY and don't have romantic feelings for JW. I prefere when people are honest, cause when it's not like that they end up dragging people around them. And I love how cute and handsome JY but it's also unclear to me if he is really a player with calculated moves or not, sometimes sounds so genuine but it's so good seductive wise that make me doubt.

1.She was crying bc she didn't win TRUE
2. She wanted to take JW to Paradise FALSE ~ I agree that she only wanted to take tattoo soldier to Paradise and if did otherwise its a manipulation technique
3. JW became KING SIMP - TRUE! The only chance he has is if he suddenly ignores Seulki and makes her jealous and tattooed soldier loses interest (wont happen in my opinion)
I don't think she's manipulative if she choose JW for winning the game. If she really has 0% interest in JW and doesn't like him, I think she won't mind to "reject" him like she did to Dongwoo, but she didn't say anything to turn him down when JW conveyed his feeling in eps 7 & 8.
SK spent hasn't spend quality time with JY since they came back from Paradise, while JW just approach her everyday for 6 days straight, so imo it's not weird if she has a little bit affection to JW after all of his efforts.

I really hate using the word "simp" on JW, so being genuine and sincere about your feelings is called simp nowadays? lol. In my country there's so called "courting" just to get the "YES" of a girl you like before dating. TBh from the start, I felt that there is some chemistry between Nadine and Jinyoung. When he first arrived, everyone was trying to talk to him but when Nadine talked to him a little, I noticed that he was speaking a lot at that time. Even Dong woo was surprised to see Nadine talking to someone like that and they had a small but fun conversation. I agree that there wasn't much instances where they were talking to each other but Jinyong never looked bored to me while talking to Nadine. Even when Sejeong asked him to go to the beach, he was asking Nadine to join. After coming from the paradise with Seulki, Nadine asked to meet him and he followed her hurriedly without responding to Nadine. I think the small gestures shows his interest in Nadine but since Seulgi was his first date to paradise and they had a great time, they already formed a kind of chemistry. But seeing him going on dates with many people and not making efforts to talk to her, I think Seulgi has gotten irritated as well. She wants security in a relationship which she isn't getting from him. I am curious what will happen after the upcoming date. Wait, isn't it ending the next week? Ah!! Nadine has so less time and I doubt if things could change in this time. They better do. Only then we can get 3 couples. I lowkey want Seo E and Seo Jun to. have a good time at the island and have a good conversation.
Nah he clearly only has eyes for Seulki from get go. In fact I think being a little cold to her was his tactic to make her like him more. He clearly hinted this when he told Youngjae 'did I approach this wrong' in Ep. 8 then after that he changes tactic and went directly to talk to Seulki and even make his jealousy obvious. He don't wnat to go back to Paradise and said he prefer Inferno but he fought so hard in wrestling game and even get personal with Jongwoo because he wants to take Seulki there again.
In fact most Knetz are saying Jinyoung actually persued Seulki in real life outside the show. He even joined her in her vacation to Alaska. He repost only stuffs about him & Seulki on his IG stories ignoring all post about him & other girls. Even Seulki do not do that. She repost stuff about her & Jongwoo in her stories. But Jinyoung only do it for Seulki even after months after the show. To me this prove he really likes her a lot to still be persuing her until now. He doesn't need to do that anymore. But he was holding onto his cool kind of image more and was giving vague answers only. While Seulgi was feeling lonely at the island and was lost, Jong woo told her the kind of words that she needed to hear. She doesn't like to be forced or pressured in love and that's what he told her and gave her the assurance she needed. I guess that was a turning point for him. Also, in the fight with Jinyoung, she has seen how serious he was to be with her. He told her that he will win the next game and will take her to paradise and he kept that promise.
