TH-camrs make this look easy- the final product videos are fun and informative to watch, but it looks like you filmed yourself cleaning your house for ten minutes ... how hard can that be, right? 🤣🤣 the point is... it’s important viewers understand the work that goes in and that we are getting this entertainment free.... but in order for that to work creators need to get paid! You are so smart to educate your subs.... I literally had no idea that clicking on your amazon link regardless of what I buy pays you. That’s huge! Yes you do work very hard I watched the video where your husband was following you cleaning and you had to keep moving the camera and get the right angle and I thought omg could not imagine doing that when I’m cleaning. I’m truly doing it as a way to connect with others and fill a creative itch for me. I’m not terribly concerned about income right now but I’m wondering if you did anything in particular to get your videos seen more? I feel like I did loads of research so I’m pretty comfortable with editing and thumbnails etc. I just would like to know how to get the videos seen by more people who would be interested in my content (career mom turned sahm, autism mom, in the process of decluttering my whole home). Right now, I think most of my views are from Facebook friends which is awesome but doesn’t result in more subscribers bc I don’t think they even have YT accounts ☺️ But I’m grateful for their support!

I've commented this before, but I just recently came across your channel a few months ago and I've been binge watching. So I'm just now watching this a year after is was posted, but i felt the need to comment this. When you talked about sponsorships, ive never understood why some people get so mad about sponsorships. As you said, its the main way youtubers make money and it only takes up a couple of minutes out of a video and they can potentially help the subscriber with codes. I mean, I agree that its frustrating when it seems like someone's channel is just a marketing channel, but most channels that I've come across aren't like that. I dont know. Everyone has to make money, and that's just how you tubers do it. 🤷♀️
There are so many things that go into growing a channel but I would say my top tips that helped me were: 1. Set a posting schedule (post on same days so people know when they can expect a video) 2. Post often. When I started I posted 3-4 videos a week. 3. Engagement. We did and still do respond to every comment! 4. Tag each video to the max to help rank high in search results Good luck!

Yes I do continue to make more money after but typically I make the most in the first 24 hours unless the video takes off and keeps performing really well.

Well that varies per TH-camr. You have to figure out what your viewers like. Mine like longer videos. 20-30 videos but I’ve talked with other youtubers and their shorter videos do better.

I didn't know that anything I bought on Amazon from your link would help you out! I will definitely start shopping through your link every time I shop on Amazon! I'm glad you don't like patreon. It has left a bad taste in my mouth with the TH-camrs who do that. I'm just not a fan of that. I don't mind watching ads and sponsored videos but I'm not going to pay for content.

Yes I do continue to make more money after but typically I make the most in the first 24 hours unless the video takes off and keeps performing really well.

Do I have to have 1000 subscribers in order to use the affiliate link or other tools you mentioned in order to get some type of income for sending a company a potential buyer? Thanks Ashley!
Every affiliate is different so I would check them out. Some you don’t need it.

What is a good length of time to make your videos? So people will watch but at the same time it’s interesting. I really appreciate this video. I have always wanted to contribute financially to our house hold and this is my way hopefully to contribute in That way. Well that varies per TH-camr. You have to figure out what your viewers like. Mine like longer videos. 20-30 videos but I’ve talked with other youtubers and their shorter videos do better.

What software do you use to edit your videos?
How did you get your first 1000 subscribers to be able to have ads and how long did that take? Did you put the word out on social media asking for support or did you just start uploaded videos regularly?
I posted 3 times a week and then eventually went to 4 videos a week.
