Great video, I just helped with wiring a walk in cooler at a local food pantry. We have a very knowledgeable refrigeration guy that helps us out. I ran the 3 phase power to the compressor for him but of course I had to learn more about how the system works. He mentioned that it was a pump down system, this video helped me understand the whole process. Keep up the good work.
True. I do prefer pump down systems though since it seems like it protects the compressor even more than a suction accumulator does. That's probably just my preference though.
Refrigeration Motor compressor is about shot and worn out, listen to those noisy head valves, I grant it can't get temperature down below 50° farenhiet inside the Walk In Cooler, in less than a half hour of time, as a very good shape Refrigeration Motor compressor should do!! What, say you? 😂😂😂😂
Do you ever have a customer say "hey, why are you making a tv video ON MY TIME??" I wonder how many tech's in the field are wasting company time by making videos to be youtube stars on the company and customer's dime. I have been in HVAC for over 50 years and it seems like every Tom Dick and Harry wants to have their own tv show while they should be WORKING. If I ever have anyone working on anything on my property making a video about it, they either stop or leave now. It could easily add an hour to an hour job. I know some guys will say "hey I'm talking while I'm working", maybe, but your concentration is not 100% on your game and HVACR is dangerous, one of the most dangerous careers in the world, OSHA investigates many injuries and deaths a year and almost all are due to lack of training and/or lack of paying attention. I wonder if any large HVACR companies have rules about it, like text and driving you're fired, tv show while working you're also fired?

Make more videos on refrigerations please
Can you breakdown the whole Pump Down process and why it’s done?
I think it pumps down so when the compressor starts it does not over amp. There will be no load present on start of compressor
What gauge do you have for the pump down .i like to get one
as for you Ben next time.. close the receiver all the way in to adjust the pressure control
Thanks for your nice video.
Non pump downs are fine of you have a suction accumulator

yes brake it down please
