  • RFA Fort Victoria (A387) crossing the River Mersey from the Liverpool Cruise Terminal. She is helped across the river by tugs Serviceman, VB Donau, VB Sandon and VB Phoenix. She is pulled away from the terminal, then swung around 180, before heading southbound, then positioned to enter Cammell Laird Shipyard.

Hello Mersey Shipping. It looked like she had no engines and was relying on the tugs to get her from the landing stage over to Lairds? If that is the case I do understand why they needed 4 tugs. An Excellent video. Thank you. Spoolbox.

Thanks, she needed all 4 tugs to get her back across the river. She is basically dead at the moment, but she will be in for a while

A lot of work needs to be done to her, and needs a lot of money.

@@merseyshipping4494 She is not dead it is called a cold move and happens all the time at every dockyard. She may be a bit down but she will be back. Great ship as are all the Forts.
