Wood fired food is always the best. After years of camping, and then cooking, I perfected cooking on an open fire. My family says it was the best food they ever had. They hated roughing it and wouldn't go camping again. I'm thinking I should set up a fire pit off the kitchen now!

I spent 30 years of my life in the restaurant business, and have seen people who couldn't cook in a kitchen that had every tool and gadget one could imagine, yet you make it look so easy with an open fire, beat up frying pan, and a hand-carved wooden spoon! Awesome video my brother. I've seen some people make some awesome food when it comes to camping and bushcraft but what your making is out of this world awesome. So many different types of food, awesome.
One simple question for the Bear: Do you not fear hungry bears or wolves when you fill the woods with these delicious odors? I would have a powerful rifle within reach if I did that. Great compilation of cooking scenes!

How in the world did you make that stew in what looks to be a birch bark pot without it burning up? Is it b/c it's full of liquid or because it isn't birch bark after all? Either way, I, as well as everyone else here ;), is pleased as punch to get to know ya it seems! Hooray for positivity- it is just the tiniest of silver linings to come out of the volcano coverage- but i do think we have to take even the small blessings in the big tragedies as wins, because in the end, they are still gifts...peace be with you
