I don't know if this is "one of the best pieces of music" I've ever heard but it is certainly a fine work which deserves to be better known. It is always a delight to come across a new piece or a new composer. I know some of Olsson's organ music but I didn't realise he had composed a symphony let alone one so attractive and approachable. Once again thanks to KuhlauDilfeng2 for yet another excellent upload.
You come to the point of having no true favorite, rather being more appreciative for every composer and their genius compositions. Thanks for posting this, your channel is truly gold
I'm not for music from the old period (19th century and down the ladder), but my little sister brought that back from the Mozarteum and I keep on listening it while I'm reading that preposterous man called Miles Mathis.
I could have sworn that initially there was no tempo for the scherzo in your description. Did I have this mixed up with something else, or did you manage to dig up that information and insert it?
I believe the sculpture is called "Overdressed Giantess Smites The Elbow Of Her Favorite Dwarf For Accentuating Her Ginormous Height By His Mere Presence ".
It's actually called "Pigeons Let Loose Across The Wild Plains Of Ultimate Frog Fantasy Surmounting Custard Is Not For Turnip" or something along those lines
What a beautiful piece, true romanticism, reminds me of Beethoven, great motifs, great sequences, great harmonic power progressions and finally wise management of extremely great dynamics!!!!
Enjoyed this Romantic Symphony, especially the energetic II (scherzo with the awesome fugue) and IV movements ! These movements also feature nice orchestral color !
I've never listened to Olsson before, and can't recall any of his works being performed on BBC Radio 3, but this is a really powerful and lyrical work! Echoes of Bruckner in the scherzo! Thanks for introducing him.
I've found a couple of brief mentions of the Westerberg performance on the Web, but it's not on Amazon and isn't included in the MusicWeb discography. (The Liljefors is.) I'm guessing it's an old SSD LP, or maybe an aircheck. Could you please enlighten us? And thanks for continuing to upload so much great music.
Some time ago there was a symphony by Ole Olsen on TH-cam. This work has been removed because of intellectual property rights. Don't you have another recording of it, dear KuhlauDilfeng?

Beautiful piece of music! Thanks for sharing it.
I found it! It was the Ole Olsen Symphony in G Major! Let me see if I can turn something up on that...

I just heard the concluding announcement, so obviously it was a radio broadcast. Very enjoyable.

Otra sinfonía que he descubierto y ¡me gusta! Lástima que sea la única que tiene (las de órgano me gustan menos).
The last movement reminds me of Sibelius.
Name of the sculpture, please!

Who is here 2021?!
I am. Listening for the first time..... 5 minutes in. All good so far!
Eine wunderschöne Sinfonie! Ich habe selten etwas so großartiges gehört! Vielen Dank für den Download!

Maravillosa obra maestra, gracias por compartir
Wow, this is better than I thought it would be.
Una hermosa sinfonía que no había escuchado

My God this is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard, spiritual lifting music here my friends, this guy was inspired by God indeed!!!!
I agree 100%
The coda gives me chills.
All the influences we like to hear. It all comes together nicely.
Le premier mouvement est très beau ! Stig Westerberg dirige son orchestre avec toujours autant de justesse et de sensibilité.
Love it! Absolutely great! Clear as the sky, pure as water!
Indeed, 'especially' after enduring the fifth symphony by Arnic!
kan ik urenlang naar luisteren
This is beautiful. Thank you.
Muy buena Sinfonía, sobre todo el 3er movimiento, muy cálido y tranquilo la primera mitad.
That's right, Mats Liljefors is the conductor in the sterling-recording and this recording is also slightly faster.
I think the info was in the new recording when i found it but i am not sure.
Gorgeous symphony. Thanks for sharing!
I love late romantic classical music.

Sorry, i wish i did. Hopefully there will some sort of radio broadcast in the future.
Found it! I'll post it over there.
Right on! #synchromism
I take it this is not a Sterling recording.
Who did the stature that is pictured?
