  • I traveled alone to Lebanon and spent two weeks in this incredible country. I met local Liverpool supporters in Sidon, Beirut, and Tripoli, all while exploring and learning about the local history, culture, and food. I'm creating these videos to share those stories!
Did you know that the city of Sidon was one of the most important cities in the Old Testament and New Testament in the Bible? Join me in this video as I explore the ancient sites in Sidon and eat incredible Lebanese food!
Lebanon is one of my all-time favorite countries I've ever traveled to, and I have more Lebanon content coming out soon! Especially since I plan to return to Beirut in November and watch a Liverpool game with the city's official Liverpool FC supporter group.

I'm Kerry Somewhere - a huge Liverpool FC supporter and travel addict. I make travel videos about adventure, history, culture, and meeting Liverpool supporters everywhere. My ultimate goal is to introduce you to all of the fantastic people I meet around the globe by following the best football club in the world.

By the way, I felt very safe traveling mostly alone in Lebanon! What are your thoughts on this? Does this surprise you based on what the media normally shows from this part of the world? Would you visit Lebanon?

As a youngster I studied the Phoenicians and their impact on trade, language, the alphabet and numbers (roman numerals). I was glad when you noted the Phoenician’s influence still there today. Kerry, you do an amazing job putting these videos together.

Thanks so much! That's wonderful you studied the Phoenicians and their impact on trade, language, and the alphabet. A historical city in Lebanon called Byblos has the location where the alphabet was created. I should have captured more videos in Byblos, but I forgot. 🤣Also, thanks so much for your feedback of the video!

Thanks for the feedback! I did also visit Batroun, Byblos, and Jounieh. I was shocked and blown away by those places because that wasn't what I had expected from Lebanon. My next video is from a day trip to Tripoli and I hired a private driver. When he drove me back to Beirut he stopped in all 3 of those places! I also went to Byblos at night with local Liverpool supporters from Beirut. I can't wait to return to Lebanon at the end of October!
