You wearing that necklace through the entire video cracked me up! Too cute! Anyway, yes you’re totally right so many people are not happy for us when we manage to get nice things. I have one friend in particular, who I don’t see much anymore simply because of distance, Who has very nice things. Much more than I do. Whenever I get something like a new designer bag and I show her, the first words out of her mouth are “ is that real?” Then I feel like I have to justify myself and prove that it’s authentic lol. I have decided that the next time it happens I am going to say no it’s not real. Hopefully that will end the conversation! Oh yes, I forgot, her other favourite is to say is that used? I have a few really gorgeous vintage Chanel bags. And I adore them. But she just looks at them as being “used” as an insult. Sigh 😔….Great video Sophia!
Thank you Sophie 🙏. No apologies, fashion changes and comes around again several times. I still have things I love that are “not in style “. I love that you enjoy the things that you’ve worked so hard for. Be proud of yourself, I’m proud of you too 🤩🫶🏼.
Hi Sophie ! I remember I was trying to recreate Paris Hilton's style in the early 2000's . To be completely honest I kept one pair of low-rise jeans just to prove to myself I'm still in shape 😀( I'm 44 )
Mid rise to lower rise is absolute best for me. I barely survived the high-rise era 😂 on my old pairs. Anything high-rise makes me nauseous. Love that low rise is coming back

I'd definitely keep wearing the Michael Kors watch, I love it! There's a celebrity in the US, she used to be a talk show host--Kathie Lee Gifford. She started wearing her costume jewelry out and if someone complimented it, she just gave it to them! Maybe that's what you could do with some of your pieces that you don't want anymore. Your story about buying the car with no job is everything that is wrong with the banking system. It's all so damned predatory and you are right to be angry about it.

You are so right. I worked my behind off and saved like a crazy person in order to get my dream car. The boss saw it and didn’t say anything nice. About a month later I left my car at the dealer for free wash, they gave me a loaner, it was a Jaguar. My boss didn’t even knock on my door. He walked in and said I thought you bought a Land Rover. I said I did, that is a loaner. He said, oh ok, THOUGHT I WAS PAYING YOU TOO MUCH.

Hi, Sophie. Your story of you paying off all your debt genuinely made me smile! Although it was years ago, I'm very proud of you! The Porsche part right after made me giggle haha
This video was just as much a throwback for me as it is you. I still have some of my 2010s stuff too. I actually have a Burberry plastic bracelet that I still wear! What a fun video.
The car jealousy thing is real… I bought a new model Y last year and the amount of people that distanced themselves from me at work was astonishing. When I got into luxury fashion (and fitness) as well, I lost so many friends. And I thought these luxuries would make my friends like me more, but no, I am all alone now (in my tesla with a fendi jacket/celine bag and cartier bracelets) 😢.
A great commentary Sophie - and you are spot on about the haters. Firstly, congrats on the Porsches. A wise choice - reliable, solid, beautifully engineered and less depreciation than other marques (I have one). The people who show contempt for your achievements are people you don't need in your life. They are bitter and resentful that they haven't achieved what you have. Jealousy is always the mark of insecurity - feel sorry for them. Unfortunately that way of thinking is common to some cultures, the UK being one of them. When I see my friends doing well and buying nice things it gives me a boost - I admire them for it and it makes me want to strive harder.
that bracelet looks like something Chanel would make, the zebra looks like something YSL would make (rem the oval arty ring?), bandage dresses were awesome, boho necklaces were trendy, I was in my 20s with all those fashion trends loved it. Fashion always changes every decade or so. I was in primary school when the 90s fashion was in and now I see all these gen z youths and 20s wearing clothes I remember. Everything was so cool, vintage is now in, Im sure if one of the celebrities started wearing any of those 2010 fashion they will all be in again

Sophie, I’m 70 yo, worked the “corporate admin” career retired in 2019. I still have a lot of unique 80’s & 90’s Costume Jewelry. I still wear it all along, even if it’s just to the drug store; never fail to get lovely compliments when I do out. The jewelry is certainly a conversation starter! Or, maybe they just think I am an interesting, eccentric o’l lady; whatever 🤷🏼♀️.
Idk, out of a bunch of hervey dresses that i own, i'd say 2 are truly timeless -- they are knee lenght and neutral colors. One even has sleeves and is a perfect dress for fall.
I love your stories... I have a friend who is very pretty like you. A " lady" passing by said, out of the blue, to her " well we know how you earned that car." In a very snarky tone.

This was a great video, Sophie! Loved the walk down memory lane. I had some of those same fashion moments. You reminded me to toss the colored jeans. I have the gaudy bracelet and necklaces still too! On buying on credit: I never did it, and you know why? I was so poor starting out, that I figured I could not afford interest, so I scrimped and saved until I could buy with cash. I have been doing it ever since. I pay off my credit cards monthly. I have had the same bank for forty years for checking and credit cards, and they have never got a dime off me lol.
Sophie, I still have my 3 series BMW from 2002 my husband bought me. Occasionally I take it for a spin. Also, I too purchased that MK watch and still own it. I wondered how or if we could resell it and who in the world would buy it.
Sophie wallpaper is one thing but did you ever sponge paint a room? I think this was big in the 1990’s. My husband and I were in our first home and I was much more energetic back then and decided to sponge paint teal pain on a white wall. Just thinking about it now makes me dizzy.😖😂
I did sponge paint my bedroom when I was a teen, yes!! In yellow haha! This is an unlocked memory for me now Debbie, I totally forgot about this trend!! Xx
Wow one of the best videos from you, Sophie! I am a car lover too, apart from bags haha. I wish cars are cheaper where I am, so I can one day own a porsche too!! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
OMG, the Michael Kors watch, the big costume jewelry (I had an almost identical big bracelet), the boho necklaces, Juicy Couture, the skinny jeans in loud colors, etc!!! I wore all of this to death. This brought back so many memories!
People only say nasty things because they are riddled with jealousy you have what they want it’s simple. I say well done 👏 for your achievements and your handbag collection is to die for. Some people can’t be happy for people, you don’t need them in your life. 😊xxx Good luck to you
nothing to regret here, you enjoy your life, you wore what made you happy! ☺️ to be honest it’s more regretting to lose one’s personality, individuality and style because it’s no longer on trend. ❤
thank you sophie for sharing your debt stories this is a really good thing you are doing because it will scare people which is good.. so they don't do stupid things...keep up your good work... you do luxury but at the same time also remind people to be financially be able to afford it first and be responsible
I remember michael kors watches were so in! I used to waste alot of money on fashion items and makeup i dont really use in the past… those were the days…
The zebra bracelet looks like a Cartier panther bracelet. Much the same design though zero quality! Even at the time I hated bandage dresses! LOL! I rather like the first Chanel bag you showed. Though a classic flap would have been better. Sigh! The mistakes we make! Thank you for the video!
I know this is off topic, and this comment will probably not get seen, but I love your makeup! 💄 I recall in a video you posted where you put the products you had on in the description box and you listed a sheer velvet lipstick by Givenchy in the color Beige Sable. I immediately had to buy it! It is still one of my favorite nude lipsticks ever! I’d love to see products you’re wearing in the description boxes again!
I love that Miu Miu bag. It has beautiful leather. I wanted to get it for me. But already had the Coffer. I think the Miu Miu you had is quite classic if we pair it with classic & chic outfits. My outfits had always been classic / basic cuts and colors.
I love this one, Sophie! OMG that big necklace is so awful! I kind of like that Michael Kors watch though. I remember bandage dresses and big jewelry, and big handbags, none of which I could do. I'm petite and look ridiculous in outsize things. My most hated style was low rise jeans. Sooo unflattering! I enjoyed seeing those old pics of you back in the day.
Not going to lie, you were absolutely beautiful in each of these eras you now think were laughable. Thanks for taking us on a walk through with you. I don’t regret it at all!
Costume jewelry is very much a thing of its time. The Swarovski ring can still be worn under certain circunstances though. Coloured jeans are also a thing of its time, which is disgraceful since I have twenty pairs of them stashed somewhere.
I have to confess, I do like the boho necklace and the zebra bracelet... Although I'm a bit weird and I like mixing different things. I'm not super trendy. I just do me, for better or for worse :D I would totally wear them.
Loved the video and you deserved everything because you worked for it, as for the haters they are just have insecurities, I loved the boxer and the compressor back then, I ended up with a Del sol from Honda , on a different note where did you get your glitter case for your iPhone
OK, that Chanel bag was so trendy. They thought because you were young they could push it on you and they did. When you look at it now, it just looks so awful and cheap but then it was very trendy and fashionable. The bandage dress. Obviously Herve Legere or inspired by. Yes, it will make it come back. That was the second time around if I’m remembering correctly, so yes it’ll come back. Everything does hopefully not the trucker hat, but definitely on the bandage dress. Costume jewelry if it’s very expensive is never ever worth it. In my opinion costume jewelry is really for kids. It’s just throwing your money in the garbage pretty much because it has no value other than it’s design. So save your money buy something of the same design if you love it that much but of higher quality. Lol, I love the giant Boho necklace! It’s ridiculous.
Sophie, I am person that is happy for others…It’s lovely to see people sparkle with excitement. Also my grandma said if do it, genuinely the universe will open up to you….an it’s the truth 🥰. It’s a higher frequency I believe, like 💕 love. Anyway love your all videos full of wisdom. I wish I had my wisdom now but be young….Id be so efficient! 😃
This is one of my absolute favourite posts Sophie. So informative and enjoyable to watch. Oh by the way (you’ll laugh when I say this) but you look lovely in that necklace and I actually still have my Michael Kors oversized watch stuck in a drawer somewhere too.
Oh, I remember those oversized Swarovski crystal rings, I had a big blue one I was very proud of, hahaa (pretty sure I still have it somewhere too!). Junk, but so much fun at the time! Your things brought back some funny memories for me!!
Sophie: I still have my Miu Miu slouch bag like yours-same color and all (with bows). I remember I had wanted it so much at the time. It had the look 😍
I so relate to this. I had a lot of similar clothes and jewelry in the early 2010s. I wouldn’t be surprised if this style did come back in fashion though. I never in a million years would have guessed that 2000s fashion would come back in style! Ah, can you imagine a revival of those mustache finger tattoos 😅😅😅
Oh but the Zebra bracelet is super cool! You could wear it now with like a minimalist long line linen dress. Kind of eclectic you know. All the other things, yeah we all have those outfits we would like to erase from memory 🤣🤣🤣

I have the same Micheal Kors watch in silver 😊
Girl that Juicy bracelet is GAUDY AF! But I would wear it now for fun 😂😂 hand it over
🤣 your comment is brilliant!!🩷xx
girl is a VIBE. 😂❤
I like watching you not because you are the influencer but you are so real !! Love it just being you no fake … love you Sophie
OMG, the Michael Kors watch, the big costume jewelry (I had an almost identical big bracelet), the boho necklaces, Juicy Couture, the skinny jeans in loud colors, etc!!! I wore all of this to death. This brought back so many memories!
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane! 😊
Theres always going to be insecure jealous people around who hurt you. You earned it enjoy it 😊
People only say nasty things because they are riddled with jealousy you have what they want it’s simple. I say well done 👏 for your achievements and your handbag collection is to die for. Some people can’t be happy for people, you don’t need them in your life. 😊xxx Good luck to you
Thank you for the love Alison, you have a fab week!xx🩷
I love all those pieces of jewellery that you don’t like. It all depends the look your going for. I like to lots of different looks.
nothing to regret here, you enjoy your life, you wore what made you happy!
You could totally rock the Miu Miu! Very much on trend again.
Well, I feel called out and, yet, nostalgic.
And with social media you get to find out who the envious people are !!!
lol I will buy that zebra juicy bracelet!
Great video Sophie as always, you’ve worked hard and deserve to get beautiful things, keep smiling xx
I loved this story it was so inspiring and entertaining at the same time. Thanks Sophie!
I love that Miu Miu bag. It has beautiful leather. I wanted to get it for me. But already had the Coffer. I think the Miu Miu you had is quite classic if we pair it with classic & chic outfits. My outfits had always been classic / basic cuts and colors.
I have the exact same Michael Kors minus the diamanté 😂
Love the story of the BMW and Porsches, your stories are the best! Xx
Yes, oversized Swarovski rings definitely got me
Oh Sophie, that blue necklace is hillarious forgive me for laughing🙈 great video once again ❤ luv E x
Not going to lie, you were absolutely beautiful in each of these eras you now think were laughable. Thanks for taking us on a walk through with you. I don’t regret it at all!
I had that pink Miu Miu foldover bow bag too lol. I think it served its purpose for the time.
Hi Sophie! Great topic! I hesitate to buy because of looking like a show off. I must know how you get your ponytail so perfect. Help! I love yours! ☺️
Sophie, love your hair today. I think it is amazing that you work so hard for everything you have. Ignore the haters.
I bought that exact Michael Kors watch for myself when I graduated! I never wear it now but it’s sentimental to me ❤
I so can relate I bought in my life stuff I regret but at the time it made me so happy 😂❤
❤you have such a nice character, I feel like we’re friends !😂
You are making me laugh with the jewelry 🤣 but you have the best taste now, no offense really!♥️
Oh but the Zebra bracelet is super cool! You could wear it now with like a minimalist long line linen dress. Kind of eclectic you know. All the other things, yeah we all have those outfits we would like to erase from memory 🤣🤣🤣
When Sophie says: "Please don't laugh" is when I start to laugh from excitement xD
