We have been to Secrets Akumal several times. The last time we were there it was during the pandemic and it was 30% capacity and it was so magical. Now everything is opened and we know it can get crowded. We love the snorkeling but since we have done this many times we are ok to do without - no matter where we go, we can always do a day excursion if we miss it. Two years ago instead of going to Akumal to change it up we went to Secrets Macao Beach in the Dominican Republic and we were VERY disappointed from the service to the food. We chose this location last minute because of the seaweed. We were going to go to another resort but heard at this time this was the place to go. I did not encounter much seaweed but it was BROWN and water was rough with larger waves. We are scared to give Cap Cana a try because of this. We would like great service, calm ocean water. It also looks so LARGE compared to Akumal but I hear the other way around. I see that Punta Cana won both of your hearts but I was wondering in comparison to Akumal. It seems we like to do similar vacation relaxation - pool, drinks, food with service being important. We thought of Secrets Maroma but we can not find that much information and I am worried the water is going to be like Secrets Macao Beach (mostly with the waves). We usually go on our all inclusive vacation we try once a year but we skipped last year due to international family weddings!! I miss it and we need relaxation.
Hi! Just discovered your channel. i have never been to an all-inclusive. I have however done many cruises. Quick questions, is there a non-prime time to go that is cheaper? When you go to the spa do they hound you to buy products? They did that on my last cruise, drove me crazy. Do you ever use the oversize tubs on the balcony? Thank you!
Hurricane season is the cheapest time to travel, just be sure to buy the trip insurance that your travel agent offers you. No hassle at the spa. I don’t often use a tub, but many people do.
Hi and thanks for the video. It has become the most expensive all inclusive in Punta Cana, is it worth it or are there better values for the money in your opinion?
Hi! It’s worth it to me, but all budgets are different. I sell a lot of Live Aqua for those wanting a similar experience at a lower price point. If you’d like my help you can fill out a quote request! memoriesandmojitos.com/quote-request/

Dreams Macao is literally on the same beach as a surf school! Maroma water is nothing like Macao beach 🙂
Resort during a pandemic. Genius.
Great description of the resort, definitely will be visiting soon.
This place looks wonderful!
the dress code for men is not strict at all we found. (where long pants required and closed toe... there were shorts and flip flops)
We did not have that experience, but I guess it all depends on who is working the door!

Hello, did you have any concerns about getting sick from food or drink? Any tips about this??? Thanks
No, never. If you’re not a traveler, I recommend you start a probiotic 2 weeks before you go, and take them each morning on vacation as well.
So if I book here without the preferred club, all of the meals are included in the room rate right?
yes
