this era of this band is undefeated. i see bjorn did some leads on whoracle while still playing drums live (prob till end of this year before he switched) at least according to wiki. i wonder which songs he did leads for
Just noticed the guitars are tuned to C# instead of C as in the album. Love the ending of Behind space, specially that they played it live. Long live old In Flames!
Pretty unusual seeing Jesper on lead guitar. Probably Niclas was more suitable to replace the rhyhtmic one due Stromblad's obvious knowledge of IF solos.
@@gelette80 It's more because their older stuff made excessive use of harmonized guitar leads which if you only have two guitar players can be difficult to fully replicate live, which is why bands like iron maiden who use the same kind of techniques now have 3 live guitarists to make thsoe parts sound fuller and like the record
Everyone in the comment is crying over their sound after this and that album, like it's the only band that changes over the years...do you really think that '95-'99 in flames would last forever? They've grown and so their sound get over it for fuck sake
As someone who's been a fan for years and am now 31 years old looking back I will always feel sad that they abandoned their original sound just to have better mainstream success. Their 90s early 2000s sound will forever be my favorite sound in Metal history. Melodic death metal at its finest. \m/\m/
GOAT transition between the songs
could listen to this all day simply due that flawless transition between the songs
RIP In Flames
wdym rest in peace
Back when they were at their best.
i'm sad now. Can't believe in Flames changed so much..and the riff for Gyroscope sounds so delicious :'(
*riffs sound (jeez, I can't even English anymore)
1:16 is godlike
Sometimes I wish he could still scream like that
This recording is a masterpiece!!!!

The snare sounds awsome🤟
Hey these guys are pretty good. I wonder what ever happened to them?
4:31 Gyroscope
Simply untouchable

Original is in D actually. The '99 re recording is in C.
Yes sir, but in this live show the guitars are tuned to C#
@@tedovin9810 I think the c# it’s tuned too sounds really great on both songs
this is a great observation.
Behind Space done proper!
I listen this daily
I have to wonder why they don't play the outro of behind space more often. It sounds so epic with distortion.
The '99 version didn't have this acoustic part.
heavenly hunger, angels decent!
Fokking amazing
BJORN KILLING THE DRUMS

Jesper is the reason I love playing rhythm guitar
Gyroscope sounds great. I don’t buy the argument that they needed to change things up to “sound better live”.
No but some arrangements. Do need rethinking for live performances
@@Hans_Lexlol
I think they refuse to play OG stuff because they haven't found a way to play them in drop A#

Björn on drums :O
Jesper recorded the drums on the original version
Bjorn did the drums on The Jester Race and Whoracle and switched to guitar for Colony
@@slipknotmfkrlocust8843 Exactly, the drums on the lunar strain were recorded by Jesper, and on the subterrean by Anders jivarp and Daniel Erlandson
Bro is that mfkr locust I've been seeing your comments for like 4 years now lmao
🤟🤟👍👍👍
Halo effect? 🤭🤭🤣🤣
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is that Iwers or Larsson on Bass and Ljungstrom or Engelin(?) on Guitar, and Gelotte still on drums? At least some mixup, I guess...
Gelotte on drums, Iwers on bass and Engelin on guitars
is that jerry cantrell?
Nah, Niclas Engelin (he covered rhythm
duties on this tour) you can tell from his stage moves too
@@wilaim8549 twas a joke about the long blonde hair
Jesper is the one with blonde hair
Haha! 😂
Is that Anders or someone else?
Anders
someone else
@@nucleardivide290 Lie

Of course it's Anders. You don't recognise his voice?
