Great video! Re-cabling was the thing holding me back to install starlink. I just have a doubt. I see you're using regular cable with no ground, I thought it was mandatory. Can you confirm it works with a cable with no groud? Thanks.
I tested it with the cable and connectors and the system worked, I also used Stargears pre made 175' cable and it worked fine (not sure if it is shielded and grounded or not). I did not see any change while I was testing them, but I am using my original cable and these are in storage for backup. I do not know if any long term or surge issues from non shielded/grounded CAT6 will present themselves long term. That being said, there being no ground or shielding did not affect initial performance.
How long can you make the cable without signal loss? Did you hear starlink is using lasers between satellites to reduce latency because light travels faster in a vacuum than on earth?
@@TheLOTSProject that’s obviously more than most would need but less than half the 100 meter for cat 5 and 700’ for cat 6 before signal attenuation. Is Starlink sending power on that cable or just signal?

They said 300' with their pre-made cables or with quality Cat6

@gingerbreadfarms it comes with a 50 with option to buy 75 or 150 from Starlink. Stargear sells 6'-300'
