      thats just a lucky shot, if you where good sniper and you know your rifle you can attempt to too and i guarantee you will get one too, i think a good sniper is that one that takes people put one shot every time, aim, shot, dead. quickly some of us take some time to measure distance and this and that sometimes leading to loose the target.

    Why is everybody raging about Chris Kyle and Carlos Hathcock? It doesn't matter who got the most kills, what matters is that they both risked their lives for their country and for their fellow soldiers on the frontline. I'll bet more than half of all you idiots wouldn't have even known who Chris Kyle was before you saw American Sniper!

    • @EslocoSoldado
      @EslocoSoldado 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Luke Davies Before you think I'm a gun toting republican I am not and my whole family has served my father was a medic in Vietnam he literally saved hundreds of lives so for you to call him a murderer when all he did was save peoples lives deeply offends me, but i don't blame you I blame you'r parents for raising you to think that way and the politicians and the media for brainwashing people to think that soldiers are fighting for there country the only person a soldier fights for is the person beside him the true murderers are the politicians and corrupt governments that send these men and women to do their dirty work. All a soldier is trying to do is make sure his friends make it home alive, now if your friend was getting shot at and you had friends dying around you wouldn't you try and protect him or her, or would you just sit there and let them die, yes it's horrible any one has to die but as long as the leaders of this world cannot see eye to eye this is a necessary evil.

    • @EslocoSoldado
      @EslocoSoldado 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      khristian hinds Listen I DO NOT SUPPORT WAR, all i am saying is that these government are to blame I don't even (Spoiler alert), I do not support the U.S. in all it's decisions this whole world is going to shit I wish no one had to fight these wars but as long as there are greedy corrupt genocidal people in this world war is inevitable. Yes I do send money to charity's that help kids in third world countries, and if I had more money I would send more, I really do but there are other countries other than Africa, there are countries in south American, the middle east, and even in the former Soviet Republic that all need are help . The fact is this planet has been ruined over thousands of years of conflicts, the human race itself has always self destructive, we are the only species on this planet to kill each other for the most ludicrous reasons, but as long as this planet has humans we will have war, is it right no but it is human nature sadly. Maybe in a thousand years we can all sing kumbaya by the campfire but till then , well There will be WAR. Oh and by the way calling me dumb I am so glad you showed your maturity .

      So the Viet Cong who slaughtered villages in South Vietnam, made kids hold grenades when they went up to the Americans acting like they wanted candy, rigged the entire countryside and jungles with all manner of sick/twisted booby traps, and the fact that North Korea and the Soviets wanted control over the area mean nothing?

    the bullet went through his scope because cobra Nd hatcock were looking directly180 degrees of eachother it went through the firdt piece of glass then the second then the third and out into his head ( modern day sniper scopes use 8 magnifieng glasses ? Meaning if this happened the bullet would stop) but the bullet went straight through and took half of the cobras head off, Hathcock was on the run after using an m14 rifle gunning down 15 spldiers in 16 shots under 3 seconds all of which were headshots and were 50 yards away i think. Thats the details you left out Frankie.

    I'd like to just dump a few recon tips. Also, a recon isn't really meant to PTFO in the same way an assault is. A recon is supposed to stay back and pick off enemies, helping his teammates from a distance. So, camping is PTFO, as long as you snipe at an objective your team is taking. TIPS!
    *Don't attack directly.* Flank, and avoid direct fire. Catch your enemies unaware.
    *Stay in the shadows.* You're much harder to see from a distance (and from up close) while in the dark. Also, the BF4 character models are all very dark, so in the light and *against light-colored surfaces,* you stick out.
    *Movement is bad when stealthing.* The human eye notices movement VERY quickly and easily, so move slowly.
    *Aim for the head.* It's a one shot kill, and a sniper's slow rate of fire makes follow-up shots on panicked, erratically moving enemies difficult.
    *Moving targets are REALLY hard to hit.* Don't try to hit guys you can't hit. It just puts you on the minimap, shows a bullet trail, warns the other team from bullet impact/gunshot, wastes a round. I could go on.
    *Use bushes to break up your outline.* The shape a person's body makes is very distinctive, and easily recognized. Bushes will conceal parts of it, and you can see through the leaves and still shoot.
    *Bipods are your friend.* 'Nuff said.
    *Skylining is bad.* When you're on top of a ridge, you're right there for everyone to see. Picture baby Simba being presented to all the other animals. You're baby Simba with a massive target on your back, chest, and forehead. Nice going.
    If you have anything else, add to what's here. This is only from my personal experience, so any more stuff is appreciated.

      @snickerdoodle7877 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mathematics I just figured these out while playing, aside from the skylining one. That I got from a video.

    • @snickerdoodle7877
      @snickerdoodle7877 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I came up with some more! Also, these tips aren't exclusively for the recons; many are universal tips for all the classes, and others can be tweaked and then used.
      This may be the best tip you'll get.
      *The shouts of enemy soldiers tell you where they are.* You see, when you kill a guy, all his teammates within, like, fifty meters (or something insane like that) yell out. By listening, you can tell where they are. You can avoid ambushes and get the drop on people easily.
      *Don't run around in the open.* In the middle of a courtyard, you can take fire from all directions. If you run along one of the walls instead of through the center, you've limited the amount of sides you can be shot from. Besides, you're no longer in plain view. This tip can help a lot if the next one is not an option.
      *Use cover to advance.* To get where you want, go from cover to cover. That way there's something to a) conceal you, and b) stop bullets, hopefully.
      *Be smart about when you leave cover.* If your enemy is running at you through the open, and half of your body is protected by a wall, he's vulnerable, and you've got the advantage. Let that dumbass come to you.
      *Stick with your mates.* You're going solo. You come across an enemy, and it's your skill and DPS versus his. Now picture the same scenario, except you're with buddy. Now you basically doubled the amount of bullets you can shoot. 90% of the time, the duo will win.
      *Try to aim for the upper torso. ALSO, NOT A RECON TIP.* Honestly, headshots are awesome and all, but they can be really hard to pull off. Until you're a good marksman, shoot for the large mass that is the body, and hell, maybe the recoil will fuck up your aim and you'll bonk him on the domepiece. Snipers, on the other hand, have a low rate of fire, so (as observed above), follow up shots are hard to do. Headshots are a necessity.
      *Keep a full mag, and don't reload until it's safe.* If your weapon's half empty, you're gonna run out of bullets when you need them. Always you weapon topped off, but remember how vulnerable you are when you do so.

    my favorite sniper story was from Thomas Plunket, A Rifleman in the british army during the Napoleonic wars. Well, to start off, Rifles and Muskets were inaccurate as shit in his times, but during The Battle of Cacabelos, when the general ordered a retreat. But before retreating, he saw the french general Auguste-Marie-François Colbert, even though he was sure he wouldn't make the shot because of the inaccuracy of his Baker Rifle, he still tried, and as a result, he landed a bullet straight through the general, but before retreating, he reloaded his Baker Rifle one more time, he then saw a trumpet-major rushing to aid the fallen general and shoots him too. The shots were at a sufficiently long distance to impress others in the 95th Rifles, whose marksmanship (with the Baker rifle) was far better than the ordinary British soldiers who were armed with a Brown Bess musket and only trained to shoot into a body of men at 50 metres with volley fire. I'm just sharing this cause this guy was king of the snipers in the 1800's

    lol That part with which hathcock shoots through one snipers' scope, that was also portrayed in Enemy at the Gates. It was a great movie about Vascili Zeitzev. I do not know if he actually did that as well, when he fought the german officer but they certainly did make it suspenseful

  • @bwcmakro
    @bwcmakro 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Hathcock. 93 confirmed kills? Pfft.
    Vasily Zaitsev - 242, some over 1km, included 11 snipers.
    Matthäus Hetzenauer - 345, longest at 1.1km.
    Fyodor Okhlopkov - 429.
    Lyudmila Pavlichenko - Greatest female sniper, 309 kills.
    Josef 'Sepp' Allerberger - 257.
    Yeah, there are a bunch of better snipers, all of which pretty much used unique techniques. No ghillies at that time, too.

    love stories about famous snipers, my favourite sniper has to be the trusty ol' Zaitsev, shame the enemy at the gates film was a bad depiction and didn't tell it how it really was. Zaitsev was the first sniper to fully utilise is surroundings completely and made the "sixes" tactic which is almost mandatory in its use my sniper teams today.

      did u know he commanded a sixteen year old sniper called tania chernova i found out about both in a book called the sniper it has a red cover cant remember what else see if i can get a link for u but if i remember correctly the sniper unit were all young apart from zaitsev and she got her hatred from the germans in this book when her 13 year old brother mended german boots but also stole documents he was caught and his nickname tania gave him was from a poem i think was mender of bad soles when she was told this and heard the name she went to the execution to see if it was him i forgot to mention she and a friend were behind enemy lines cut off from the unit she was to the germans a spy type thing thx to a friend she met earlier any way at the execution it was her brother he was singing the like russian scouts but rather than camping they were sandbagging and basically brought up as soldiers and his lasts words were from the scout guide book thing and were something like i die knowing i gave everything for my country can you say the same from her she called germans sticks as she said they weren't human but sticks to be snapped in two she killed 88 germans and captured a general or something with her unit after getting back to them and that day the battle of stalingrad ended with his capture dont quote me on this while since i read it its true as she told the author herself as it says it in the back
