Changbin wrote this song, and he said that the reason he spelled it with two j's, is because he wanted it to sound "sticky". He meant for it to be pronounced almost like "cham". They did a little album intro explanation video that I think is a really great watch in your free time! :)
They really play on a lot of moving between languages also and in Korean there are double consonants, like jj, kk, ss, tt, like it took a video and subtitle for me to catch how many times he raps using double meanings between english and korean both to rhyme and I think sometimes to play off how english sounds when you have have Korean accent. Like I'm not sure it's a coincidence that "got them" also sounds like G* damn, like damn this music is so good, or like "got me" in Venom also sounds like keomi, the word for spider being repeated over and over. I am just astounded by the amount of thought they put into this. Unless that's an accident? Going to go look for the explanation video now...

There's the obvious one: jam, the sweet sticky stuff we put on toast, pancakes, or whatever you like to eat it with. This is how they visualise it in the MV. Then there's the Korean word for fun: 재미 or jaemi, which is what they refer to in "I got no jam, you got no jam" And lastly, there's jamming with music, which is what they refer to with "we gotta jam" This entire song has so much going on, and I find it hilarious that the only thing I really see people talk about is the one thing I honestly can't find in it: dirty thoughts.

Agreed, there's really all of of layers, but I don't really ever see much malice or dirtiness in their work, I worry sometimes about the appeal to guns and rap culture, but I've also seen it really as more their tendency to try to make videos look like actions movies etc.

I too only try to shoot my goals, not people,, whether it's in archery, football, or using a gun (water gun, nerf gun, paintball gun, etc) And I think it's the same with the dirty thoughts Stays have: you're digging too deep in the wrong direction. It's much more likely the lyrics are deep in a much more innocent or serious way. Like how "Who let the dogs out" is deep in the sense that it calls out guys that harass women.

You know we would love to see you watch the Music Video altogether first and you know get your complete raw reaction and then you go and slowly explain each and every detail!! let me point something out. after the first choreo, it says “(sing)” and seungmin and i.n start singing. they’re the main vocals of the group. when their part ends, it says “(dance)” and felix starts dancing. along with scenes of hyunjin and lee know after. all three of them are called danceracha, the main dancers of the group. then it says “(rap)” and it goes absolutely crazy with han and changbin, the main rappers of the group. and because bangchan isn’t included in any of that, they make him sing right after everything ended.
I love how the jam jar being dragged away before the dance break is almost identical to a person being dragged away by their feet while crawling in a horror movie trailer😂 really makes the jam feel like the main character even more!

Jordan, a little lore info on lee know's shadow getting shot. Basically in a different mv called lonely st. Felix shoots his own shadow, and us stays think that it must have passed through and hit lee know instead.

It's been years since I've been watching your videos and honestly its just so good to watch raw reactions from an editor himself, I don't know why but somehow watching you react to my favorite idols' MVs makes me feel so proud. You know we would love to see you watch the Music Video altogether first and you know get your complete raw reaction and then you go and slowly explain each and every detail!! when i tell you Stray kids has the craziest lore out of all kpop groups istg
let me point something out. after the first choreo, it says “(sing)” and seungmin and i.n start singing. they’re the main vocals of the group. when their part ends, it says “(dance)” and felix starts dancing. along with scenes of hyunjin and lee know after. all three of them are called danceracha, the main dancers of the group. then it says “(rap)” and it goes absolutely crazy with han and changbin, the main rappers of the group. and because bangchan isn’t included in any of that, they make him sing right after everything ended.
I love how the jam jar being dragged away before the dance break is almost identical to a person being dragged away by their feet while crawling in a horror movie trailer😂 really makes the jam feel like the main character even more!
I love watching these because I learn so much more about all the hard work the editors put into the music videos!

Jordan, a little lore info on lee know's shadow getting shot. Basically in a different mv called lonely st. Felix shoots his own shadow, and us stays think that it must have passed through and hit lee know instead.
