This is how the audience was when I went to see it two weeks ago...the excitement level hasn't dropped a bit from two years ago when they opened, and I know that Newsies will continue to dazzle people for years to come :D
Hello! Future Fansie here. The excitement will never drop! I've recently watched the recording of it on Disney+ and loves it so much! I mean how can it be that good?!? Anywho, I just wanted to say that. Toodles!
You can't see it well in this recording, but Andy Richardson signs "I Love You" in ASL during his bow :) You can tell more clearly in other recordings.
The curtain call of this show always brings tears to my eyes. Especially now that I know it will be closing this month, it makes it even more emotional. Newsies is the definition of real Disney magic. This show will always have it's own spot in my heart.
It's been 120 years since the strike actually happened, 27 years since the movie release, and 7 years since it opened on Broadway, and has the level of excitement, tears, amazement and joy lowered? Not at all, if anything, it's grown through the generations. #NewsiesForever
Saw this on Netflix and I have this feeling that made me so happy and happy tears started pouring out of my eyes through out the show. I have never felt something like that. If I watched Newsies on Broadway I would've poured a lot of happy tears and cheering the entire performance on b/c this show is so damn amazing.
I never been to NYC before but I know what you mean. Two of my friends went there to see Newsies. I saw the Fathom Events movie presentation with my cousin in an attempt to make them playfully jealous. I wasn't expecting to enjoy Newsies so much.
I also have never been to NYC. I would really love to go there. The first thing I will do there is to see a Broadway musical. Yeah, I wasn't expecting to enjoy Newsies the first time it made it to Broadway. When I watched it on netflix, like I said before, the musical just blown my mind away. Never felt something like that from a Broadway musical. I have to say Newsies is my #1 favorite Broadway musical.
My other favorite musicals are Grease Mamma Mia Memphis Oklahoma A Chorus Line and Motown. If you want an equally great filmed performance, you should have seen She Loves Me last week starring Laura Benanti Zachary Levi and Jane Krakowski on PBS. If not, it's available for a limited time on PBS.org
My other favorite musicals are Aida, Aladdin, West Side Story, Chicago, Sweet Charity and Into the Woods. I like to see She Loves Me. I heard it's a good show. I will check it out.
I would love to see Aida, Aladdin and Chicago sometime. Chicago depends on who the star is whenever I see it. I'll probably enjoy Aladdin but not as much as I enjoyed Newsies.
This is one of those shows where you just don't stop smiling the whole time you watch it. Even at the sad parts cause you are literally jus happy to be there
Well you are going to have to watch them again because some of them are reuniting for the upcoming filmed LIVE performance at Hollywood at the Pantages on 9/11. The performance will be in movie theatres early 2017.
This cast must have been so lucky to have been part of something EPIC and joyous! I hope to see NEWSIES when the show is filmed in Hollywood LIVE next month.
i just watched newsies for the first time (i'm so late on it , i know) but i watched the broadway version on disney+. this musical was exquisite. like how are these guys dancing jumping spinning flipping ALL WHILE SINGING !?!? its mental and so much talent, and the way they just float around. so amazing
i've watched this video so many times and I love how andy signs i love you to the audience during his bow. i still can't believe this show is closing :((((((
Everyone raves about the actors, but you’ve really gotta hand it to the orchestra as well. They play insane songs in this musical and to have the chops to get through the full show is amazing. You don’t realize how tiring it is to your mouth to play that kind of music for three hours straight. Kudos to them.
Jeremy Jordan Kara Lindsay Ben fankhauser Andrew Keenan Bolger Capathia Jenkins Ryan Breslin Mike faist Brendan Stimson Tommy bracco Ryan Steele Evan casperzac Kyle Coffman Jess lepromatous Aaron j. Albany Andy Richardson Ephiam Skyes Laurie veldheer Michael fatica I don't care how talented Corey, John Michael, Adam, liana, lavon and every other replacement is, nothing can replace the originals.
I cried when this video first premiered, I cried a couple months later when I saw it live, and I'm crying now as I watch it all over again. Man, I love this cast.
I have loved the movie forever and I just saw the beginning if the tour in Cleveland. I can't get enough!! I wanna see it again!!! I have been watching soooo many videos. It was such a great show
When I saw this, I was soo emotional, and it was awesome, and the curtain call was so emotional, and I screamed for Andy, who was Crutchie, and was so .... amazed. I love this musical and wish it was not going away and I want to see it again on tour! These guys are so amazing and awesome!
Loving this movie since I was a kid, seeing it and meeting the cast at Papermill, and following it to Broadway... So happy to have witnessed this journey!! Here's to a LONG run on Broadway and lots of success!
Gets me teary eyed everytime I see this clip. Saw the show a few months ago and mann what a bunch of talented and gifted performers. They deserve every success that they are currently reaping. Hoping for a regional tour so it can be seen by even more people around the country
This show has to have an open ended run and win Best Musical at the Tonys. Newsies is absolutely amazing. I want to see it so bad!! Please make the run open ended Disney!!!
I miss this show my school did it when I was a freshman covid ruined it in the middle of tech week. I'd do anything to bring it back, but I'm a high school graduate, so there ain't nothin I can do
Now this, my friends, is a curtain call.
Oh yes.
definitely!!!
Stellar......
Does anyone else get a lot of goosebumps and just get super emotional during curtain calls???
I DO!!!!!!! i literally started tearing up
Amy Cassidy Yes, and then I get even more emotional when I’m actually in the curtain call. Theatre is an experience.
the curtain call is always so amazing idek why?? i think the heathers one is one of my favorites
i haven't even seen newsies but i desperately wanted to see more curtain calls so here I am
@@potato.pancake YES I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND
When I saw Newsies, during bows Jeremy Jordan slipped and fell running out for his bow.
Nobody could keep it together once he got back up.
And that's why he goes backstage/background during the dance numbers lol
@@marisal48 exactly, cause he' an uncoordinated smol bean
hopefully he was ok tho: i dont know if i like the moving platform tho cause what would happen if somebody slipped or got caught on something...

I always cry when I see Jeremy run out to take his bows. He's such a talented actor and both he and this show deserve all of the awards in the world.

I just found out they're closing in August. I am absolutely devastated. Please tell them to return soon.
otomodachifan I know I'm so upset! It's such a brilliant show!
Even though it closed, I'm one of the people from the years to come, and I'm dazzled

I always get emotional watching curtain calls idk why it makes me so happy
Best choreography and dancing on broadway ever.
Saw it 3 times.
Why am I tearing up in 2019 watching this? 😭
lol not even during curtain call do they stop dancing.
PianoDisneygal10 nope
Legend has it they even dance when not performing
They *never* stop dancing. On stage, during the curtain call, backstage, outside if the theatre. Everywhere. They’re always dancing.

DANG! Those can dance, sing, and act soo well! So happy at least I saw the Touring Cast.
I'm hoping to see the filmed live performance when it comes to movie theatres next month.
I saw the tour cast as well! It was magical!
This makes me so happy!! And at the same time terribly sad, because the show ended. :(((
