I think it’s a second hand phone lol (you can see from the packaging), maybe it’s cheaper. I think directly connecting the mic to the phone for the sound is easier to cut the video if he doesn’t have a laptop. Imagine using a camera and record the sound separately, a lot of work needs to be done.

These are also android, so getting better editing software would be much easier, and more mics are compatible with Android, too.

For his defense the iPhone 16 is the first iPhone to have 120 hz and have a oled screen which is the best LED to date also the camera has a 48-megapixel main camera with a wide-angle lens, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom let’s say he got a Nikon p1000 camera which is roughly 2500$ that camera itself has a 36 megapixel camera so I honestly think if you need a phone to upgrade too and never wanna upgrade again I highly suggest this phone. It also has titanium alloy plating around the phone for impact absorption I tell you what I won’t be buying another phone again it’s to damn OP
