I had the same issue with my Grizzly. Except mine was a bit more difficult to find. I checked all those things I had the 3rd relay where you don't, and what I found was the wire underneath the connector was broken and I had to push the pin out and re-solder it. That was a head ache to find that broken wire.

That’s exactly what I was hoping didn’t happen, finding bad wires it hard lol.... as soon as the fan turned on after I jumped that thermosensor I figured I am good

U have the exact same scenario, waitingg for parts to fix, but my fan will kick on but engine gets extremely hot before turning on. turnsd my phone off in center console from heat

Grizzly’s don’t produce a lot of heat like the twin cylinders do. The only time I can get the fan to turn on is if I’m doing a lot of idleing in 90 degree weather or if radiator is packed with mud.. if I leave my Rzr idle for 5 min the fan turns on.. when I found this sensor was junk, I asked myself how long it was bad lol, could of Been bad for 6 months lol

how did the sensor work out?

    • @grizzlygreg8922

Worked! That’s what the issue was, but then when the fan turned on it only spun half the speed I thought it should of spun, ordered a new fan and everything was back to normal

@@grizzlygreg8922 awesome thanks ya my 2014 is doing both those things. I think it might be burning oil? Im going to probably do a piston and rings too

My goal is to start a new grizzly build this spring with a brand new one and then possibly fool around with a big bore kit and cam, different tuning.. we will see how it shapes out

@@grizzlygreg8922 I ordered a new fan today mine failed on my 2013. I replaced the rad last fall and it was a quite a disassembly process to get the old one out. Did you have to pull the rad out to replace your fan or were you a able to get it out from the side ? Tks

I got a 98 grizzly 600 yfm my fan just stopped working on mine I don't no w to look I did run a wire from the battery and the fan will come on but will not come on by it sealf don't no w to look at

If your running a wire from battery right can it it turns on like you say, then it is either the sensor/switch that is located in the cylinder head or water pump area. Once you find that sensor/switch; jump the terminals in the plug with a paper clip. If the fan turns on right when you start the machine, it would be that sensor that is defective. I don’t think the 600s have a relay since my 2012 700 doesn’t. So I’m willing to bet it is a worn/shorted wire or that temp sensor/switch
