    The metal bar below the track trod is that the inner tie rod or the control arm?

      On this car it's the anti roll bar. Other models may be different though.

    Hi buddy, im repairing the same model clio, how can you tell if it's definetly the track rod end - is it if there's side to side movement on the wheel ? ( there is, along with clicking noises also when driving ) Would a wheel bearing have the same symptoms ?

      I would expect a wheel bearing to be accompanied by a clear droning sound. For me, the track rod end was visibly loose, there was a knocking noise, the car pulled slightly to the side and there was uneven tyre wear. All classic symptoms.

      @@KomradeShotabollokov The nearside rod end is loose and rattling. If it is also the wheel bearing, how easy is it to replace ?

      I didn't find it too hard. Unless you have a hydraulic press, you'll need a lump hammer, some bricks for support and a few suitably sized sockets to drift the bearings out and in. You might be in for a fight if the bearings have rusted into position though...

    you are missing a screw for holding the disc.

      That's true although I find most new discs only come supplied with one for each wheel. They're only there to keep the disc from falling off before the wheel is on anyway so one screw is more than enough.

      @@KomradeShotabollokov yes. I also noticed they are not important. A mechanic used there flat head screws for me and the head was stripped. I barely could take them off and replaced them with the original torx head screws.

      Also probably used to locate the disc holes in the right place.
