K.Charles for me will always be Prince Charles. He is a gardener & a farmer, using ancient traditions like ‘wilding & animal husbandry’ He’s made Highgrove a place of exemplary standards in gardening now a tourist attraction for future generations to observe. His Duchy produce brand is respected & his actual interest & involvement is what made it so. These are an important legacy.
My niece loves the way he dresses especially in these days of sloppy dressing. 😊He is an influence in these things & they matter.

I feel they should have disapproved of their marriage. At the very least, make them wait a while. Didn’t Prince William and Princess C wait 10 years? Ann was the spare and I don’t believe she has complained but more gave the reason to learn and create her own and interesting gifts. She a fascinating woman, one of the best role models they have. Andrew certainly hasn’t held up.
Couldn’t agree more re: Anne. She is a wonderful role model on so many levels. She’s balanced the “spare” thing (although she was never really eligible for the title of monarch) beautifully. She uses her position and clout for the betterment of many and still lives a relatively private life.
He comes across as a kind loving person he loves his family he loves his people. When it comes to handling personal things that happen between family it’s difficult you just want everyone to be happy and trying to sort this out in public is even harder. if i take emotions out of the William & Harry saga I have to think that (to most) Catherine is beyond the ideal wife for William so how lucky would KCIII have been to get another daughter in law like her? The good thing either way, with regard to how he deals with Harry and Meghan is that this situation won’t happen again in future reigns and this will be written in law. I don’t see any other way to get rid of the Harkles except to pay them off (from his private funds obviously!), as they will NEVER stop otherwise and it is the Monarchy’s complacency by not acting soon enough that has caused this whole situation. The Queen also unfortunately didn’t come down on them hard enough either but to be honest Meghan is quite evil and totally ruthless and the Queen didn’t realise until too late what she was actually dealing with, hence the “Meghan is evil” comment! Prince Philip and Prince William knew from the outset but it was up to the Queen to act. When Philip couldn’t get the Queen to act my view is he went into retirement earlier than he would have otherwise as he couldn’t bear to watch what was unfolding in the Monarchy.

The (IMO) sudden "I'm not doing this any more" and removal of himself completely away from Court did seem a bit odd at the time.
Was this really the reason? The appearance of the witch and the reluctance of the late Queen to make a harsh decision, hoping it "would all go away and be alright in the end". She really should have listened to her much wiser husband on this issue but she was weak where family is concerned after what happened with Diana. Meghan knew this and she saw her as a pushover to get what she wanted but Philip was in the way. By the time the Queen realised Philip was right the situation was out of control. It is also pertinent that Philip took himself totally away from Windsor and went to live at Sandringham after he retired.

She was perfectly capable of issuing instructions against the pair but she declined to do so. King Charles is an amazing man. Very few men in history was able to have such a huge influence on so many spheres of life. The press was unfortunately very harsh in their judgements of him. His impact on organic farming, Natural healthcare, all the lives he changed for the better through the King's touch, his business accumen, to name but a few. What is sad about the Harry drama, is that the government failed him big time. He talked to Rishi Sunak and a few other parliamentarians to get titles removed, and they dropped the ball.

Succession doesn't work that way, unfortunately. A monarch does not appoint nor nominate their successor. The law is very clear regarding who is next in the Line of Succession to the British throne.

I think the way he's (not) handled his vicious son and daughter-in-law has made him look weak. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the king of wands card represent the military? Color me a conspiracy theorist, but I've suspected that Major Johnny- a military member- is the son of King Charles and his other former mistress Lady Dale Tryon; and Charles now keeps Johnny close because he was unable to publicly acknowledge Johnny as his son since he and Dale were both married. Not to mention, Charles was already catching heat for his affair with Camilla. Also, as a gesture to Lady Dale, whom Charles was unable to see when she was dying. Her death occurred three months after Princess Diana's; and as Charles was being blamed for Diana's death, he couldn't afford to take time away from their boys as they grieved to go see another mistress. So now Charles is trying to atone for what he couldn't do then by having Johnny at his side as often as possible. Look at Johnny and William; particularly when they're in uniform. They look more alike then William and Harry do. Also, compare Johnny to Dale's other children. He looks just like them. So maybe the king of wands who keeps showing up is Major Johnny. King Charles as a prince was not a particularly good father figure as he had an affair during their childhood and after his divorce he spent his days climbing uphill to gain the trust and giving affection with the boys. He also put an enormous amount trying to marry the woman he loved for so long. No wonder he’s not a man that they look up to. I’d say they have a lot to work on. If an “ordinary” woman had deliberately split up so many relationships and spent so much time on her back the neighbours would be outraged, yet so many people still think Di can do no wrong. She put her affairs before her sons yet she “was a wonderful mother”. She called Harry “dim”, that’s not what a wonderful mother does, not in front of other people. She certainly turned it on for the cameras though.

@@marianfrances3057 any one who publicly calls their child dim or stupid or thick as two short planks. Tells them they can be as naughty as they like as long as they don’t get caught. Refuses to allow anyone to punish them for bad behaviour. All of which she did with Harry. And on top of that she used William As her confidant telling him about her love life. That is a TERRIBLE mother.
And don’t get me started on publicly washing her dirty linen. OMG how both boys must have been humiliated . What a cow.
