This is the best breakout trading advise and use of MACD ever!
Great advice man. I’m just embarking on my 2nd incarnation as a trader. Like many I gave it a go years ago and lost everything on my first attempt. All the learning and practising I did couldn’t prepare me for fomo, chasing losses, moving my stops back and closing profits too early. This time round I still recognise the feeling but am so far in control and am in profit a little more each day. I never stopped watching the charts but I now have a degree in physics and a job in BI and understand statistics and now I return to the same market that burned me ten years ago as an old friend. Good luck out there everyone. Keep making videos man! Teaching and learning!

If false breakouts are frustrating you constantly, the market is telling you something. Trade the false breakout instead of trading the breakout.
Lol, trade the false breakout, is that even possible?
@@helenwalker4376 yes it is and I will tell you what I have done over the years;if the trend is up, but we are in a potential range or possibly a double top chart pattern scenario. If the price continues to decline below the prior swing low the trend is likely transitioning to the downside and we don't want to go long. BUT, if the price pauses at or moves only slightly below the prior low, and then rallies sharply back above the prior low, buy quickly!
Set a stop loss just below the new low, and monitor conditions for when to exit a profitable trade. If the price is moving sharply higher, see if it breaks out above the prior high. If it pauses near the top of the pattern, exit immediately." But I strongly advise you seek mentorship, it will help you really understand.

3rd point: Trade the breakout when the volatility is low, which can be identified using MACD/ATR

The best way of protecting yourself against stop hunting and false breakouts is to understand how the large traders who produce these scenarios think. They have a particular method for this kind of thing.
