@AVMamfortas, I am sincerely grateful for your kind words, engagement and support, it means the world to me. I put my heart and soul into every video, from filming, to editing and learning. I am proud of a recent accomplishment. Yesterday my channel passed 1 million views. I am in awe of the number. It has been a lot of hard work and dedication. I have the best audience on the TH-cam platform and I'm so happy you are on the journey with me. Without an audience my passion wouldn't be much fun. My channel will be 2 years old in mid August, still a toddler with much more to learn and grow. Best....Corrie

Red Canada Otter born same year as me-1952. When I walk my son's dog on the west shore , she is crazy for driftwood and any smelly sea wrack. Me , I can't help but stop and watch every take-off and landing. And taxiing . Brings out that long ago 10 year old boy in me. Thanks for identifying these beautiful planes and filming them.

When you have problems stabilizing your approach there's only one sensible thing to do and this pilot did it. An old aviation joke says there are three rules for a successful landing, the only trouble is.no-one knows what they are. Actually that go around was very professionally done. The decision was made early before too much speed was lost so that transition from landing to go around required the minimum of changes to the configuration of the aircraft. I always look forward to seeing your videos. That was another Beaver from the last year of production then.

I have heard that seaplanes purposely land with one float first, then the other. I'm not sure why, as I would think that would create more of a risk of digging into the water and causing the plane to flip. I'm wondering if someone in the lounge knows the reason. If you can't do a crosswind landing in those conditions you should not be operating in that Harbour. He touched down before the gust which put him back in the air.
Cutting the corner like that and trying to get into wind will get you in trouble every time because of the turbulence coming over the buildings. Do a proper crosswind approach and landing and it will work.
